Apolipophorins and insects immune response [PDF]
Insect lipoproteins, called lipophorins, are non-covalent assemblies of lipids and proteins serving as lipid transport vehicles. The protein moiety of lipophorin comprises two glycosylated apolipoproteins, apolipophorin I (apoLp-I) and apolipophorin II ...

Chronic diabetic wounds are hindered by a “dual trap” of biofilm resistance and hyperinflammation. A mesoporous catalytic‐adsorptive nano‐regulator is developed to dismantle this barrier through simultaneous eDNA degradation and LPS sequestration. By silencing TLR4/9‐mediated signaling, the platform clears resilient pathogens and reprograms the immune ...

ROS‐Responsive H2S Hydrogel (HAPPF) Coordinated Regeneration for High‐Quality Diabetic Wound Repair.A self‐regulating dynamic hydrogel is developed to deliver a fluorogenic H2S donor in response to excessive ROS. Released H2S acts as a master regulator to resolve chronic inflammation (M2 polarization), restore VEGF‐driven angiogenesis, and rebalance ...

To address the multifaceted imbalance in diabetic keratopathy, a light‐responsive biomimetic platform (WCNx‐Rh2) is developed and integrates glucose degradation, immune modulation, and antibacterial defense through a designed heterojunction and screened immunomodulator. WCNx‐Rh2 reduces AGEs/ROS and inflammatory signaling, reprogramming dendritic cells

A minimally invasive optical window enables stable, long‐term imaging of peripheral nerves in vivo at single‐axon resolution. Dynamic processes of degeneration, regeneration, and cellular remodeling are visualized across multiple time scales within the same nerve region, providing a unique platform to study a variety of anatomical and molecular events ...

Antimicrobial Role of Human Meibomian Lipids at the Ocular Surface
Human meibomian lipids form the outermost lipid layer of the tear film and serve many important functions to maintain its integrity. Although not investigated earlier, these lipids may have antimicrobial properties that help in strengthening the innate host defense of tears at the ocular surface.

Astrocytic FABP5 promotes mitochondrial stress, cGAS‐STING pathway activation, pyroptosis, and neuroinflammation in epilepsy, contributing to seizure pathology. Genetic targeting of FABP5 or pharmacological inhibition of STING alleviates epileptic phenotypes, highlighting a potential therapeutic strategy for epilepsy.

A biomimetic GOx/Arg‐loaded nanoplatform produces nitric oxide through an in situ catalytic cascade reaction, enabling dual‐target metabolic regulation in diabetes‐associated biofilm infections. Bacterial metabolism is disrupted, and macrophage immunometabolism is reprogrammed, resulting in biofilm eradication, immune restoration, and enhanced ...
