Painless Biosensing for Non‐Invasive Health Monitoring: Advances, Platforms and Future Directions
ABSTRACT Non‐invasive biosensing has expanded blood‐based diagnostics into a growing set of accessible peripheral biofluids, yet most existing reviews remain confined to sweat, tears, saliva and urine, and treat the underlying literature descriptively rather than critically.

Optical Basicity of Glasses: Review and Application in Nuclear Glass Formulation
A self‐consistent set of optical basicity (OB) values was compiled and evaluated for 95 binary oxides using electronegativity, ionic–covalent, and optical‐property approaches, providing a robust basis for estimating the basicity of complex compounds and glasses.

Isolation of alternative oxidase (AOX) genes of Olea europaea L. [PDF]
Alternative oxidase (AOX) is recently suggested to be a potential candidate as functional marker for efficient cell reprogramming under stress (Arnholdt-Schmitt et al., 2006a).

To clarify evolution and phylogenetic relationships of trypanosome alternative oxidase (AOX) molecules, AOX genes (cDNAs) of the African trypanosomes, Trypanosoma congolense and Trypanosoma evansi, were cloned by PCR.

Alternative oxidase‐mediated respiration prevents lethal mitochondrial cardiomyopathy
Alternative oxidase (AOX) is a non‐mammalian enzyme that can bypass blockade of the complex III‐IV segment of the respiratory chain (RC). We crossed a Ciona intestinalis AOX transgene into RC complex III (cIII)‐deficient Bcs1lp.S78G knock‐in mice ...

PO-13 SEX DIFFERENCES IN VASCULAR FUNCTION FOLLOWING ANTIOXIDANT SUPPLEMENTATION
Objectives: Sex differences in cardiovascular disease risk and progression are well established. Estrogen loss following menopause leads to vascular dysfunction, potentially due to elevations in oxidative stress and subsequent decrements in nitric oxide.

Genetic analyses of leaf traits in an interspecific Zoysia japonica × Zoysia matrella F2 population
Abstract Zoysiagrass (Zoysia spp.) is an important warm‐season turfgrass cultivated across tropical, subtropical, and temperate regions of the world. The genus is characterized by the presence of salt‐secreting glands on the adaxial leaf surface, which contribute to its high salt tolerance.

Potential application of alternative oxidase (AOX) in neurodegenerative diseases [PDF]
Mitochondrial dysfunction is involved in many neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer's disease (AD), Parkinson's disease (PD), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and Huntington's disease (HD).

Treatment system response to transient AOX (adsorbable organic halogen) loadings
If promulgated as proposed, effluent guidelines for the U.S. pulp and paper industry will impose average monthly and maximum daily numerical limits of discharged AOX (adsorbable organic halogen).

AOX does not rescue pink1 mutants.
(A) Quantitative RT-PCR using primers to CG3446 and to AOX, in testes using tissue of the following genotypes w; da-Gal4/+ (green), w; UAS-AOX (orange) and w; UAS-AOX/+; da-Gal4/+ (blue). Data normalized to housekeeping genes (see Text S1).
