Genetic and epigenetic alterations of the APC gene in malignant melanoma [PDF]
High levels of beta-catenin and activating mutations in the beta-catenin gene (CTNNB1) have been demonstrated in malignant melanomas, implicating dysregulated Wnt signalling in the pathogenesis of this malignancy. We systematically examined melanoma cell lines for activating CTNNB1 mutations as well as genetic and epigenetic alterations of the ...

We measure the cell‐specific responses of administering infusible ECM (iECM) in acute myocardial infarction (MI) across multiple timepoints. Using single‐nucleus RNA sequencing and spatial transcriptomics, we measure macrophage activation, fibroblast remodeling, increased vascular development, lymphangiogenesis, cardioprotection, and neurogenesis ...

Bub3p facilitates spindle checkpoint silencing in fission yeast [PDF]
Although critical for spindle checkpoint signaling, the role kinetochores play in anaphase promoting complex (APC) inhibition remains unclear. Here we show that spindle checkpoint proteins are severely depleted from unattached kinetochores in fission ...

Surface‐host dialogue at the implant interface governs biological fate and osseointegration. Surface physicochemical properties of titanium (Ti) dental implants, including microgrooves, nanopatterns, nanotopography, roughness, and wettability, modulate the initial adsorption of proteins and the formation of a dynamic biointerface.

Mutation screening and analysis of the APC gene in Malaysian FAP patients / Fiqri Dizar Khaidizar [PDF]
Mutations in the APC tumour suppressor gene cause Familial Adenomatous Polyposis (FAP), a predisposition to colorectal cancer. This condition is characterized by adenomatous polyp formation in the colon and rectum which may advance to malignancy if not ...

Gellan gum fluid gel (FG) enables controlled ocular delivery of mesenchymal stromal cell (MSC)‐derived extracellular vesicles (EV). Its shear‐thinning, solid‐liquid‐solid rheology ensures prolonged ocular retention. Sustained MSC‐EV release (∼18% in 6 hrs) supports effective EV ocular delivery.

Identification of novel germline mutations in hereditary colorectal cancer patients and characterization of somatic alterations in their tumors [PDF]
Colorectal cancer has been reported as the third leading cause of cancer related death in the world. About 5-10% of colorectal cancers are due to an inherited predisposition.

Therapeutic Extracellular Vesicles from Synovial Fibroblast‐Primed MSCs for Osteoarthritis Treatment
EVs derived from the microenvironment of SFs transferred MSCs (miSF‐MSC‐EVs) enhanced the expression of miRNAs that regulate cell migration, cell adhesion, and the TGF‐β signaling pathway, demonstrating superior anti‐inflammatory and cartilage regeneration effects compared to conventional MSC‐EVs.
