Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

Evolution of queen pheromone receptor tuning in four honeybee species (Hymenoptera, Apidae, Apis)
Summary: Honeybees (genus: Apis) use a plethora of pheromones for intraspecific communication. The primary compound produced by the queen’s mandibular glands, 9-ODA, is involved in mating in all Apis species. It is the ligand of the most highly expressed

Monitoring circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in patients with operable breast cancer can reveal disease relapse earlier than radiology in a subset of patients. The failure to detect ctDNA in some patients with recurrent disease suggests that ctDNA could serve as a supplement to other monitoring approaches.

The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...

Genetic diversity of Apis cerana cerana based on mitochondrial DNA in Lishui, Zhejiang, China
Apis cerana cerana is a native honeybee species in China, which is widely distributed in all parts of the country, especially in the hills and mountains of the South China. Apis mellifera was introduced into China in the end of the 19th century.

ATF4‐mediated stress response as a therapeutic vulnerability in chordoma
We screened 5 chordoma cell lines against 100+ inhibitors of epigenetic and metabolic pathways and kinases and identified halofuginone, a tRNA synthetase inhibitor. Mechanistically halofuginone induces an integrated stress response, with eIF2alpha phosphorylation, activation of ATF4 and its target genes CHOP, ASNS, INHBE leading to cell death ...

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Mining Collaboration Patterns Between APIs for Mashup Creation in Web of Things
The Web of Things (WoT) extends the concept of “Internet of Things (IoT)” in that smart devices in the physical world can be interacted with or integrated via popular web technologies (e.g., HTML, HTTP, and Web API).
