Complete genomic sequence analyses of Apple stem pitting virus isolates from China
Virus Genes, 2011The complete genomic sequences of a Chinese ASPV isolates KL1 and KL9 were determined from ten overlapping cDNA clones. The genomes of both isolates were 9265 nucleotides excluding the poly (A) tail and contained five open reading frames (ORFs). The identities between two complete genomes were 92.5% at nt level.

The successful back-transmission of the mechanically transmissible virus associated with apple stem pitting and pear vein yellows, from Nicotiana occidentalis to apple seedlings "Golden Delicious" under greenhouse conditions is reported. This result enabled a field experiment where isolates of apple stem pitting, originating from apple, that were back ...

Journal of Virological Methods, 2019
A molecular diagnostic assay for the rapid, sensitive and specific detection of Apple stem pitting virus (ASPV) in infected samples, utilizing reverse transcription-recombinase polymerase amplification (RT-RPA) at an isothermal constant temperature of 42 °C and the designed target-specific primers, was developed. The RT-RPA assay was able to be used in

Studies on cDNA Probe Detection Technology for Apple Stem Pitting Virus in Kuala Pear
Agricultural Sciences in China, 2007Abstract Using Kuala pear leaves and cortexes as materials, the total RNA was extracted using two methods and these two methods were compared. The most suited methods for Kuala pear were screened; and biotin-labeled cDNA probe was synthesized using RT-PCR. The main factors that affected the sensitivity of hybridization were studied. Studies indicated

Occurrence, distribution, and molecular characterization of apple stem pitting virus in Iran
2017Apple Stem Pitting Virus (ASPV) is one of the most common viruses of apple and pear trees. During 2012 to 2013, a total of 1053 symptomatic and asymptomatic leaf samples were collected from orchards in nine provinces of Iran. ASPV infection was detected by DAS-ELISA and PCR in 54 samples (5.12%) from seven provinces.
