Photo-controllable aptamer

Nucleic Acids Symposium Series, 2009
We have successfully developed a new method for photoregulation of G-quadruplex formation using cis-trans photoisomerization of the photochromic nucleobase (8FV)G. Our photo-controllable quadruplexes can be switched between a very stable quadruplex state and a non-structured state in a straightforward and reversible fashion.

Turn-On Fluoresence Sensor for Hg2+ in Food Based on FRET between Aptamers-Functionalized Upconversion Nanoparticles and Gold Nanoparticles.

Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2018
In this study, a turn-on nanosensor for detecting Hg2+ was developed based on the fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) between long-strand aptamers-functionalized upconversion nanoparticles (UCNPs) and short-strand aptamers-functionalized gold ...

Peptide Aptamer Libraries

Combinatorial Chemistry & High Throughput Screening, 2008
Peptide aptamers are molecules that bind to protein targets and are able to interfere with their functions. In the past, important achievements have been made using such peptide aptamers in different approaches and for various purposes. Peptide aptamers are comprised of a variable peptide region of 8 to 20 amino acids in length, which is displayed by a

In Vitro Selection of Circular DNA Aptamers for Biosensing Applications.

Angewandte Chemie, 2019
We report on the first effort to select DNA aptamers from a circular DNA library, which resulted in the discovery of two high-affinity circular DNA aptamers that recognize the glutamate dehydrogenase (GDH) from Clostridium difficile, an established ...

Anti-coagulant aptamers

Thrombosis Research, 2008
In the past decade development of aptamer technology is poised into several fields with various clinical applications. With this progress, aptamer based anti-coagulant agents are evolved and continuing their applications with clinical trials. At present several anti-coagulant aptamers are available against different proteins from blood coagulation ...

Aptamers and Biosensors

2009
The immobilization procedure to a biosensor surface has a major influence on the measurement results. To characterize the immobilization onto various biolayers, the interaction of DNA anti-thrombin aptamer with the protein thrombin was used as a model system.
