ABSTRACT Genome‐wide association studies (GWAS) link the Tropomyosin 1 (Tpm1) locus to quantitative blood trait variation, but related mechanisms are unclear. Tpm1 encodes an actin‐binding protein that regulates actin filament diversity, cell adhesion, signaling, and actomyosin contractility.

FGL2‐HDAC11 Drives Immunothrombosis via NETs‐Mediated Endothelial Capillarization in MASLD Fibrosis
ABSTRACT Metabolic dysfunction–associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) is frequently accompanied by hepatic fibrosis and systemic cardiovascular complications; however, the mechanistic interplay between coagulation abnormalities and disease progression remains poorly defined.

Clot waveform analysis of prolonged activated partial thromboplastin time in various disorders
Introduction: The prolongation in APTT reflects various disorders affecting the blood coagulation system. Automated coagulation analyzers such as ACL TOP, help in evaluating the clotting cascade by displaying clot reaction curves or waveforms. The fibrin

Do Elevated Hematocrits Prolong the PT/aPTT? [PDF]
The Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute guidelines require special processing of whole blood specimens with hematocrits greater than 55% due to the possibility of spurious prolongation of routine coagulation studies (PT, aPTT). As samples with hematocrits above 60% are rare at our institution, our study seeks to determine the effect of relative

Activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) is widely practiced in preoperative screening. The value of using this test to predict the risk of perioperative bleeding is not well documented in Sweden.

Enhanced Intracellular Stability and Translation Efficiency of mRNA Drugs by a 2‐arm mRNA Platform
We constructed a 2‐arm mRNA, characterized by a unique topology formed through the dimerization of two mRNA 3’ tails. The 2‐arm mRNA improves 3’ tail stability and resistance to nuclease degradation, resulting in an intracellular half‐life of up to 65 h. This method substantially enhances the translation capacity of mRNA drugs.

DIC Score: Statistical Relationship with PT, APTT, and Simplified Scoring Systems with Combinations of PT and APTT [PDF]
We looked into the statistical association of prothrombin time (PT) and activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) with disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) score calculated using the International society for thrombosis and haemostasis (ISTH) scoring system.
