Research progress on metabolites of nitrofurazone in aquatic products. [PDF]

open access: yesHeliyon, 2023
The carcinogenic and teratogenic risks of nitrofurazone (NFZ) led to its restriction in aquatic products. Semicarbazide (SEM), one of its metabolites, is a primary focus of modern monitoring techniques. However, the SEM residue in aquatic products is believed to be formed through endogenous mechanisms, especially for aquatic crustaceans.

Studies on the Putrefaction of the Aquatic Produ ?? ts

open access: yesNIPPON SUISAN GAKKAISHI, 1951
If the shark muscle was preserved from putrefaction while it was yet fresh, no ammonia has been produced from the muscle, but, when the muscle was antisepticized after committing itself to growth of micro-organisms, the development of ammonia was observed. And the longer the period before its antisepticization, the more the amount of ammonia grew.

Recent Study of Separation and Identification of Micro- and Nanoplastics for Aquatic Products. [PDF]

open access: yesPolymers (Basel), 2023
Micro- and nanoplastics (MNPs) are polymeric compounds widely used in industry and daily life. Although contamination of aquatic products with MNPs exists, most current research on MNPs focuses on environmental, ecological, and toxicological studies ...

Reaction Products of Aquatic Humic Substances with Chlorine [PDF]

open access: yesEnvironmental Health Perspectives, 1982
A major concern of the chlorination of aquatic humic materials is the ubiquitous production of trihalomethanes. A large number of other chlorinated organic compounds, however, have been shown to be formed by chlorine's reaction with humic substances. In this study, humic material was concentrated from a coastal North Carolina lake and chlorinated at a ...

zhaokangshun/Trade-is-improving-global-aquatic-food-consumption-: Effect of trade on global aquatic food consumption patterns

open access: yes, 2023
<p>Globalization of fishery products is playing a significant role in shaping the harvesting and use of aquatic foods, but a vigorous debate has focused on whether the trade is a driver of the inequitable distribution of aquatic foods.

Studies on Putrefaction of Aquatic Products-XVII

open access: yesNIPPON SUISAN GAKKAISHI, 1953
We have studied on the process of the spoiling of several kinds of fish, and obtained the results shown as follows: (1) The histamine was produced in large amount in the early stage of the putrefaction in the mackerel, and yet the judgment of the initial stage of the spoiling by means of our senses seemed to be difficult.

Aquatic Primary Production [PDF]

open access: yesAmerican Zoologist, 1968
The ecosystem concept has been particularly useful and extensively employed in the study of aquatic primary productivity. The flow of energy through the system is an attractive area of investigation when it involves some process, but has a more restricted value when units of biomass are simply converted to calories.
