Nuclear Import of Arachidonate 5-Lipoxygenase
2001Leukotrienes are lipid messenger molecules that are secreted by leukocytes to orchestrate a rapid and prolonged immune response. The enzyme 5-lipoxygenase catalyzes the rate-limiting first two steps in the synthesis of leukotrienes from arachidonic acid.

Arachidonate Lipoxygenase Products and Psoriasis
1985Psoriasis is a common skin disease that, in many cases, appears to be genetically determined. Lesional skin is characterized by epidermal proliferation and inflammatory changes, of which intraepidermal neutrophil infiltration is a consistent finding and one of the earliest abnormalities seen in developing lesions (Chowaniec et al., 1981). Psoriasis may

Arachidonate 12-Lipoxygenase of Human Platelets
1993Thromboxane A2 is well known as a proaggregatory and vasoconstrictive compound [1]. It is produced from arachidonic acid in platelets, and fatty acid cyclooxygenase responsible for the thromboxane synthesis is localized in the microsomal fraction of human platelets [2]. There is another metabolic pathway of arachidonic acid in human platelets.
