Donkwa Enriched With Goron‐Tula (Azanza garckeana) Modulates Sexual Behavior and Activity of Enzymes Linked With Erectile Dysfunction in High‐Fat Diets/ Streptozotocin‐Induced (STZ/HFD) Diabetic Rats

open access: yesFood Chemistry International, EarlyView.
(A) Mount number, (B) mount latency, (C) intromission number, and (D) intromission latency are the parameters of sexual behavior. Met = metformin. D100 = 100 Donkwa. D90G10 = 90% Donkwa + 10% Goron‐Tula. D85G15 = 85% Donkwa + 15% Goron‐Tula. D80G20 = 80% Donkwa + 20% Goron‐Tula. The mean ± standard error of the mean (SEM) expressed the results. *Values

Microbiolization of Arachis hypogaea L. seeds

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Biology
Abstract Peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) is one of the most widely cultivated and consumed oilseed crops globally, with seed quality being a critical factor for successful cultivation and productivity. Among the main phytopathogenic agents associated with seeds, fungi stand out due to their frequency and the extent of damage they can cause, ranging from ...

Effects of high‐moisture extrusion processing on reducing anti‐nutritional factors and allergenicity in plant‐based materials—A mini review

open access: yesFood Biomacromolecules, EarlyView.
Abstract The rising demand for plant‐based meat alternatives has had advancements in processing technologies such as extrusion to meet consumer preferences for enhanced sensory qualities and nutritional benefits. High moisture extrusion (HME), a thermo‐mechanical process employing elevated moisture levels (40%–70%), has emerged as a promising method ...

Genetic relationships among seven sections of genus Arachis studied by using SSR markers

open access: yesBMC Plant Biology, 2010
Background The genus Arachis, originated in South America, is divided into nine taxonomical sections comprising of 80 species. Most of the Arachis species are diploids (2n = 2x = 20) and the tetraploid species (2n = 2x = 40) are found in sections Arachis,

The "A" genome of Arachis hypogaea L.

open access: yesCYTOLOGIA, 1986
An attempt was made to find out the possible donor of the ‘A’ genome in Arachis hypogaea. For this, the chromosome morphology at pachytene was studied in Arachis correntina (Burk) Krap. et Greg. (Unpub. PI 331194) a diploid member of section Arachis.

Effects of deficit irrigation and biostimulants on melon productivity and quality in semi‐arid conditions

open access: yesJournal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, EarlyView.
Abstract BACKGROUND Water scarcity and soil salinization are major constraints to irrigated agriculture in semi‐arid regions, affecting crop productivity and fruit quality. Combining deficit irrigation with biostimulant application has emerged as a promising strategy to improve water use efficiency and plant stress tolerance.

Challenges and limitations of introducing pigeonpea as a new crop into smallholder farming systems through farmer‐to‐farmer education in Zambia

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, EarlyView.
Legume plants offer generous benefits for both the planet and people by supporting sustainable farming, food and feed systems through their ability to symbiotically fix atmospheric nitrogen. While grain legumes are cultivated and consumed globally, their adoption, market development, and integration into cropping systems vary.
