A butyrolactone lignan dimer from Arctium lappa

Abstract A novel lignan, diarctigenin, together with the known butyrolactone derivatives, arctigenin and arctiin, has been isolated from the seeds of Arctium lappa . Its structure was elucidated as bis-5′,5′-arctigenin by spectral analyses and chemical modification.

RNA sequencing of the Arctium lappa L

'Yanagikawa Ideal', a variety of edible burdock, was selected for SMRT sequencing. Samples were collected from different parts of the plant at different times including small flowers (unopened and in full bloom), biennial leaves, petioles, stems, young annual leaves and petioles, mature annual leaves and petioles, annual roots, and seedlings.
