IMPACT OF TEHNICAL SPRAYING FACTORS ON LEAF AREA COVERAGE IN PERMANENT CROPS [PDF]
Researches are conducted in vineyard and apple orchard with two different types of mist blowers, axial (Hardi Zaturn) and radial (Hardi Arrow). The influence of major technical spraying factors (type of nozzle, working speed and spray volume) were ...

Area Coverage in Wireless Sensor Networks [PDF]
Wireless sensor networks are deployed to observe remote or sensitive environments. To avoid difficult or dangerous manipulations after the deployment, power-saving strategies are used to prolong the network lifetime. Selecting active sensors, that perform the monitoring task while passive ones save energy, is one of them.

Multi Robot Cooperative Area Coverage, Case Study: Spraying [PDF]
Area coverage is a well-known problem in multi robotic systems, and it is a typical requirement in various real-world applications.\ud A common and popular approach in the robotic community is to use\ud explicit forms of communication for task allocation and coordination.\ud These approaches are susceptible to the loss of communication signal,\ud and ...

Next‐generation proteomics improves lung cancer risk prediction
This is one of very few studies that used prediagnostic blood samples from participants of two large population‐based cohorts. We identified, evaluated, and validated an innovative protein marker model that outperformed an established risk prediction model and criteria employed by low‐dose computed tomography in lung cancer screening trials.

Optimal Coverage Level Choice with Individual and Area Plans of Insurance [PDF]
We theoretically examine a farmer’s coverage demand with area and individual insurance plans as either separate or integrated options. The individual and area losses are assumed to be imperfectly and positively correlated.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.
