Cabomba caroliniana and Schoenoplectus californicus as Antifouling Candidates: Anti‐Attachment and Toxicological Effects in Aurelia coerulea (Cnidaria, Scyphozoa)

open access: yesEnvironmental Toxicology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Biofouling on artificial surfaces in aquatic ecosystems leads to significant economic losses. Current antifouling paints, while effective, often harm the aquatic environment. This study explores ecologically safe antifouling alternatives derived from plants, focusing on the aquatic macrophytes Cabomba caroliniana (CC) and Schoenoplectus ...

Tolerance of Artemia to static and shock pressure loading [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Hydrostatic and hydrodynamic pressure loading has been applied to unicellular organisms for a number of years due to interest from food technology and extremophile communities. There is also an emerging interest in the response of multicellular organisms

Development and Reproduction of Nesidiocoris tenuis Reuter (Heteroptera: Miridae): The Effect of Temperature, Origin and Food

open access: yesEntomologia Experimentalis et Applicata, EarlyView.
Nymphal development took longer at 25°C than 30°C, and the Greek N. tenuis population developed more slowly than the commercial population. Nymphs clearly preferred E. kuehniella eggs over Artemia sp. cysts when both were offered equally. Egg production increased at 30°C, while female longevity declined.

Ossification of the cranium of Inpaichthys kerri (Characiformes: Acestrorhamphidae) with discussion of paedomorphic traits in the genus

open access: yesJournal of Anatomy, EarlyView.
In this study, we present a detailed description of the cranial development of Inpaichthys kerri (Characiformes: Acestrorhamphidae), highlighting important topics such as pedomorphic characters and their relationship with ontogeny and phylogeny, as well as ossification sequences unique to the species. Abstract The study of development provides valuable

Substituição de alimento vivo por alimento inerte na larvicultura intensiva do tambacu (♀ Colossoma macropomum X ♂ Piaractus mesopotamicus) = Replacement of live food for inert food on larviculture of tambacu (♀ Colossoma macropomum X ♂ Piaractus mesopotamicus)

open access: yesActa Scientiarum: Animal Sciences, 2008

Unveiling Immune System Perturbations in Early Development Through Zebrafish Models of NADHX Repair Deficiency

open access: yesJournal of Inherited Metabolic Disease, Volume 49, Issue 2, March 2026.
ABSTRACT The vital cofactors NADH and NADPH are prone to hydration, forming hydroxylated redox‐inactive derivatives (NADHX and NADPHX) in cells. These damaged metabolites are repaired by two highly conserved enzymes, an NAD(P)HX dehydratase (NAXD) and an NAD(P)HX epimerase (NAXE).
