Abstract Purpose The primary aim was to compare the variability and repeatability of medial posterior tibial slope (MPTS) measurements on lateral knee radiographs between osteoarthritic (OA) and non‐OA knees, and the secondary aim was to assess their implications for clinical classification.

Dorsal cheilectomy is often used as a first-line surgical treatment for hallux rigidus; however, revision surgery is needed in nearly 9% of cases. One option for revision surgery is interpositional arthroplasty, which is designed to preserve joint motion

Abstract Purpose Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) restores knee function, but correction of coronal plane deformities may alter the biomechanics of adjacent joints. This study aimed to determine whether changes in knee alignment after TKA have clinical or radiological effects on the ankle.

Alterations of the subchondral bone in osteochondral repair – translational data and clinical evidence [PDF]
Alterations of the subchondral bone are pathological features associated with spontaneous osteochondral repair following an acute injury and with articular cartilage repair procedures.

Background Subchondral bone cysts are a widely observed, but poorly understood, feature in patients with knee osteoarthritis (OA). Clinical quantitative computed tomography (QCT) has the potential to characterize cysts in vivo but it is unclear which ...

Post‐arthroscopy osteonecrosis is a rare complication occurring in 0.82% of cases, primarily affecting patients over 50 with degenerative meniscal tears. Early detection through MRI and conservative treatment, including bisphosphonates and weight‐bearing avoidance, proved effective in most cases, while some required surgical intervention.

Clinical Outcomes of Medial Meniscus Posterior Root Tears
Objectives: Medial meniscus posterior root tears (MMPRTs) present a unique challenge for both patients and surgeons as these tears have shown to be biomechanically equivalent to complete meniscectomy. However, little is known about the natural history of

Is subchondral cyst an indicator for osteoblast dysfunction in knee osteoarthritis? [PDF]
INTRODUCTION: Subchondral bone cyst (SBC) is a key radiological feature in advanced OA. The presence of SBC was reported in a relation to the risk of cartilage loss and total knee arthroplasty (TKA). Whilst the link between SBCs and bone dysmetabolism in
