Robotic Interventional Needle Insertion Assisted by a Cable‐Driven Parallel Robot
This article presents a body‐mounted cable‐driven parallel robot assisting the needle insertion procedure designated for automated interventional pain therapy. The 3D‐printed robot body and multiple thin cables can achieve high X‐ray compatibility for intervention. The robot performs full 6‐degree of freedom needle insertion and remote center of motion

A Computer Vision Approach for Performance Tracking of Robotic Compliant Systems
The mechanical failures (low, medium, or severe) of compliant mechanisms include link disconnection and deformation of structural elements, leading to a loss of gripping performance and grasping accuracy compared to normal behavior. Through non‐invasive monitoring, autoencoders, and thresholding techniques, it is possible to identify the type of ...

Gripperpose: A Novel Approach for Large Industrial Grippers 5D Pose Estimation
We propose GripperPose, a novel framework for 5D pose estimation tailored to large industrial grippers with rotational symmetry, addressing ambiguity and domain adaptation challenges in complex industrial environments. By redefining pose representation and introducing three task‐specific evaluation metrics, our method enables more accurate and robust ...

Detecting faults in modular bridge expansion joints (MBEJs) is a critical challenge, as their complex dynamic behavior under operational loads is difficult to characterize with conventional methods. Existing monitoring approaches often face a trade‐off between high cost, intrusive installation, and an inability to capture the distributed kinematic ...

Anchoring Morphological Representations Unlocks Latent Proprioception in Soft Robots
The authors present ProSoRo, a proprioceptive soft robot that anchors morphological states to a single internal reference frame and employs a multimodal variational autoencoder for crossmodal inference, revealing latent proprioception that enables accurate force and shape estimation, interpretable morphing primitives, robust sim‐to‐real transfer, and ...
