Adsorption of aspartic acid on kaolinite
Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 2004The interaction of aspartic acid with kaolinite was studied by potentiometric titrations and by adsorption measurements both at constant aspartate concentration (but varying pH) and at a constant pH of 5.5. The temperature was 25 degrees C, and the ionic medium 5 mM KNO3.

Antinociceptive effect of d-Aspartic acid in mice [PDF]
The effects of D- and L-aspartic acids on the nociceptive tail flick reflex in mice were investigated. D-Aspartic acid (115-230 mg/kg, IF) was found to increase tail flick latency significantly.

Conjugation of aspartic acid with 4-bromophenylacetic acid, an auxin analogue of aspartic acid
Phytochemistry, 1987Abstract Tobacco mesophyll protoplasts conjugate the auxins indoleacetic acid and naphthaleneacetic acid with aspartic acid very efficiently. This conjugation was found to be correlated with the toxicity of these molecules to protoplast-derived cells grown at low densities.

The thermal copolymerization of aspartic acid and glutamic acid
Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics, 1960Abstract Thermal condensation of aspartic acid and glutamic acid yields copolymeric products. In typical reactions for periods of 6 hr. or less, mean molecular weights range from 5000 to 25,000. The products are largely polyimides which are convertible by mildly alkaline treatment to materials which are fully linear peptides.

SYNTHESIS OF ASPARTIC ACID BY LACTOBACILLUS ARABINOSUS
Canadian Journal of Microbiology, 1957Lactobacillus arabinosus was grown on a complex synthetic medium and the synthesis of aspartic acid studied using the tracer compounds carbon dioxide-C14, glucose-6-C14, glucose-2-C14, or ammonium chloride-N15. The β-carboxyl carbon of aspartic acid was derived to a major extent or solely from carbon dioxide-C14and no radioactivity was found in the α ...

The Aspartic Acid Family of Amino Acids: Biosynthesis
2004Aspartic acid can be synthesized by two different reactions, both of which involve a substrate that is a participant in the tricarboxylic acid cycle. It can be obtained by transamination of oxaloacetic acid with glutamic acid, whose biosynthesis will be examined later: $$ \begin{array}{l}\kern6.84em \\ {}\begin{array}{c}\hfill \mathrm{COOH}-\mathrm ...
