Designing Drone Delivery Networks for Vaccine Supply Chain: A Case Study of Niger [PDF]
The focus of this research is to evaluate the use of drones for the delivery of pediatric vaccines in remote areas of low income and low and middle income countries. Delivering vaccines in these regions is challenging because of the inadequate road networks, and long transportation distances that make it difficult to maintain the cold chain integrity ...

Polyol pools inAspergillus niger [PDF]
The accumulation and excretion of polyols was investigated under various growth conditions and at different stages of the life cycle of Aspergillus niger. Glycerol was found to be the major solute in osmotic adjustment of the hyphae. Conidiospores contain large amounts of mannitol, which are rapidly metabolized during early germination, leading to the ...

Tannase Production by Aspergillus niger [PDF]
A method for assay of microbial tannase (Tannin acyl hydrolase) based on the formation of chromogen between gallic acid and rhodanine is reported. Maximum Tannase production occurred in the culture broth containing 1‐2% (w/v) tannic acid and 0.05 – 0.1% (w/v) glucose.

Framework for Behavioral Disorder Detection Using Machine Learning and Application of Virtual Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in COVID-19 Pandemic [PDF]
In this modern world, people are becoming more self-centered and unsocial. On the other hand, people are stressed, becoming more anxious during COVID-19 pandemic situation and exhibits symptoms of behavioral disorder. To measure the symptoms of behavioral disorder, usually psychiatrist use long hour sessions and inputs from specific questionnaire. This

Designing for Degradation: Transient Devices Enabled by (Nano)Cellulose
Recent progress in transient devices enabled by (nano)cellulosic materials is reviewed. Transiency mechanisms, advantages of nanocelluloses, and a suite of applications are discussed. A circular thinking approach coupled with life cycle assessment is applied to critically revisit the potential, advantages, and challenges of nanocellulose‐enabled ...

Using Staged Tree Models for Health Data: Investigating Invasive Fungal Infections by Aspergillus and Other Filamentous Fungi [PDF]
Machine learning models are increasingly used in the medical domain to study the association between risk factors and diseases to support practitioners in predicting health outcomes. In this paper, we showcase the use of machine-learned staged tree models for investigating complex asymmetric dependence structures in health data.
