On an Asymptotic Integral [PDF]
1. This note gives an asymptotic evaluation of an integral of the formas n tends to infinity, where is a sequence of real-valued functions. The theorem to be established is a natural extension of B. Levi's generalised Laplace-Darboux theorem (1, 341-51); it gives a rule for evaluating a wider class of asymptotic integrals.

We discuss in detail the asymptotic distribution of sample expectiles. First, we show uniform consistency under the assumption of a finite mean. In case of a finite second moment, we show that for expectiles other then the mean, only the additional assumption of continuity of the distribution function at the expectile implies asymptotic normality ...

A Q‐Learning Algorithm to Solve the Two‐Player Zero‐Sum Game Problem for Nonlinear Systems
A Q‐learning algorithm to solve the two‐player zero‐sum game problem for nonlinear systems. ABSTRACT This paper deals with the two‐player zero‐sum game problem, which is a bounded L2$$ {L}_2 $$‐gain robust control problem. Finding an analytical solution to the complex Hamilton‐Jacobi‐Issacs (HJI) equation is a challenging task.

Asymptotic Primes and Asymptotic Grades on Modules
The aim of this paper is to study various questions related to sets of prime ideals associated to powers of an ideal \(I\) of a commutative Noetherian ring with identity \(R\) and a finitely generated \(R\)-module \(M\). In several recent papers (mid '80), \textit{D. Katz}, \textit{S. McAdam}, \textit{J. L.

A Workflow to Accelerate Microstructure‐Sensitive Fatigue Life Predictions
This study introduces a workflow to accelerate predictions of microstructure‐sensitive fatigue life. Results from frameworks with varying levels of simplification are benchmarked against published reference results. The analysis reveals a trade‐off between accuracy and model complexity, offering researchers a practical guide for selecting the optimal ...

Aggression, Social Pressure and Asymptote in Laboratory Mouse Populations
Freely growing populations of BALB/cJ, C57BR/cdJ and C57BL/6J mice were maintained until after asymptote in the presence of ad libitum food and water. If aggression were an index of social pressure then aggression at asymptote should be stable.

Karl Popper and the Mechanisms of Hydrogen Embrittlement
Representation of the beginning of loss of ductility rather than embrittlement. Small concentrations of hydrogen in a diffusible form within iron are well‐established to harm the mechanical integrity of steels. There are theories that attempt to explain the pernicious role of hydrogen.

SLES SURFACTANT AS DRAG REDUCING AGENT WITHIN GASOIL FLOWING THROUGH PIPELINES
Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate (SLES) with five different concentrations (from 50 to 100 ppm) were used as drag reducer. This surfactant was studied using gasoil with seven different fluid flow rates (from 1.9 to 4.5 m3 /h) and a testing section length of ...

Asymptotics of Asynchronicity [PDF]
In this article we focus on estimating the quadratic covariation of continuous semimartingales from discrete observations that take place at asynchronous observation times. The Hayashi-Yoshida estimator serves as synchronized realized covolatility for that we give our own distinct illustration based on an iterative synchronization algorithm.
