On the Delayed Scaled Consensus Problems
In this note, we study the scaled consensus (tracking) problems, wherein all agents reach agreement, but with different assigned ratios in the asymptote.

Full Analysis of Lung Cancer Mortality/Radon Relationship with Simple Nonlinear Concepts
We analyze the relationship between the lung cancer mortality and the indoor radon intensity from the viewpoint of nonlinear mathematics. We conclude that their relationship is governed by the proportionality law where the cumulative lung cancer ...

Remark on Transitivity for piecewise increassing maps on R
In this work a sufficient condition is shown to obtain transitivity in families of piecewise increassing maps with an inevitable discontinuity in x=0. Specifically, it is shown that the characteristics of a large class of transformations of the real line

Asymptote in prospective mathematics teachers’ graphing praxeologies [PDF]
Graphical representation is one of the fundamental and widely spread representations. We performed a comprehensive research of the didactic transposition of asymptote and asymptotic behaviour in the upper secondary education in Croatia, within the ...

Time‐Resolved Magnetization Switching Dynamics Driven by Orbital Torques
Du et al. reveal nanosecond magnetization switching driven by orbital currents using time‐resolved Hall detection. The measurements separate domain nucleation from domain wall propagation and show that Joule heating strongly assists switching by lowering energy barriers.

The thresholding of time series of activity or intensity is frequently used to define and differentiate events. This is either implicit, for example due to resolution limits, or explicit, in order to filter certain small scale physics from the supposed ...

Examining mathematical discourse to understand in-service teachers’ mathematical activities
In this article I use Sfard’s theory of commognition to examine the surprising activities of a pair of in-service mathematics teachers in South Africa as they engaged in a particular mathematical task which allowed for, but did not prescribe, the use ...

We report a multifunctional tapered optical fiber integrating a conformal micro‐resistance temperature detector (µRTD) for local, real‐time thermometry during optical stimulation. The platform combines light‐delivery and temperature sensing within a minimally invasive footprint, enabling detection of sub‐degree cortical heating under representative ...

Dominant Height Model for Site Classification of Eucalyptus grandis Incorporating Climatic Variables
This study tested the effects of inserting climatic variables in Eucalyptus grandis as covariables of a dominant height model, which for site index classification is usually related to age alone.

Characterization of the lactation curve of f1 Holstein-Zebu cows
The objective was to nd a function to describe the lactation curve of grazing Holstein - Zebu cows (n=23) in tropical México. Twelve were based on the general nonlinear function A*Φ1(x)*Φ2(x): A, a positive scalar; Φ1 , a positive monotonically ...
