On spreading sequences and asymptotic structures
In the first part of the paper we study the structure of Banach spaces with a conditional spreading basis. The geometry of such spaces exhibits a striking resemblance to the geometry of James space. Further, we show that the averaging projections onto subspaces spanned by constant coefficient blocks with no gaps between supports are bounded.

Asymptotic speed of spreading in a delay lattice differential equation without quasimonotonicity
This article concerns the asymptotic speed of spreading in a delay lattice differential equation without quasimonotonicity. We obtain the speed of spreading by constructing an auxiliary undelayed equation, whose speed of spreading is the same as ...

Asymptotic and numerical analysis of a simple model for blade coating [PDF]
Motivated by the industrial process of blade coating, the two-dimensional flow of a thin film of Newtonian fluid on a horizontal substrate moving parallel to itself with constant speed under a fixed blade of finite length in which the flows upstream and ...

Asymptotically Optimal Randomized Rumor Spreading [PDF]
We propose a new protocol solving the fundamental problem of disseminating a piece of information to all members of a group of n players. It builds upon the classical randomized rumor spreading protocol and several extensions. The main achievements are the following: Our protocol spreads the rumor to all other nodes in the asymptotically optimal time ...

Downlink Steered Space-Time Spreading For Multi-Carrier Transmission Over Frequency Selective Channels [PDF]
This paper presents a novel amalgam of Steered Space-Time Spreading (SSTS) and Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) designed for attaining both spatial diversity gain and beamforming gain for transmission over OFDM-symbol-invariant ...

Asymptotic analysis of axisymmetric drop spreading [PDF]
We study in this paper the time evolution of the spreading process of a small drop in contact with a flat dry surface, using asymptotic techniques. We reduced the problem by solving a quasisteady self-similar macroscopic problem and matched with the precursor region solution, where the van der Waals forces are important.

Asymptotic Performance Analysis of Time-Frequency-Domain Spread MC DS-CDMA Systems Employing MMSE Multiuser Detection [PDF]
In this contribution the asymptotic signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) performance of multicarrier direct-sequence code-division multiple-access systems employing time-frequency-domain spreading, i.e., of the TF/MC DS-CDMA systems, is studied,

Asymptotic Behavior for Radially Symmetric Solutions of a Logistic Equation with a Free Boundary
In this paper we investigate a logistic equation with a new free boundary condition appearing in ecology, we aim to describe the spreading of a new or invasive species by studying the asymptotic behavior of the radially symmetric solutions of the problem.

The asymptotic nature of the analytic spread [PDF]
In (3), corollary, p. 373) Burch gives the following inequality for the analytic spread l(I) of an ideal I of a noetherian local ring (R, m):In this paper we shall improve this by showing that the number min depth (R/In) may be replaced by the asymptotic value of depth (R/In) for large n (which exists) (see Section (2)). By its definition (see (6), def.
