Influence of the mode of reproduction on dispersal evolution during species invasion [PDF]
We consider a reaction-diffusion-reproduction equation, modeling a population which is spatially heterogeneous. The dispersion of each individuals is influenced by its phenotype.

Drop spreading with random viscosity [PDF]
We examine theoretically the spreading of a viscous liquid drop over a thin film of uniform thickness, assuming the liquid's viscosity is regulated by the concentration of a solute that is carried passively by the spreading flow. The solute is assumed to

On spreading sequences and asymptotic structures
In the first part of the paper we study the structure of Banach spaces with a conditional spreading basis. The geometry of such spaces exhibits a striking resemblance to the geometry of James space. Further, we show that the averaging projections onto subspaces spanned by constant coefficient blocks with no gaps between supports are bounded.

Capacity Approaching Low Density Spreading in Uplink NOMA via Asymptotic Analysis [PDF]
Low-density spreading non-orthogonal multiple-access (LDS-NOMA) is considered where $K$ single-antenna user-equipments (UEs) communicate with a base-station (BS) over $F$ fading sub-carriers.

Minimal wave speed of traveling wavefronts in delayed Belousov-Zhabotinskii model
This paper is concerned with the traveling wavefronts of Belousov-Zhabotinskii model with time delay. By constructing proper upper and lower solutions and applying the theory of asymptotic spreading, the minimal wave speed is obtained under the weaker ...

Identify hidden spreaders of pandemic over contact tracing networks
The COVID-19 infection cases have surged globally, causing devastations to both the society and economy. A key factor contributing to the sustained spreading is the presence of a large number of asymptomatic or hidden spreaders, who mix among the ...

On a Multistable Type of Free Boundary Problem with a Flux at the Boundary
This paper studies the free boundary problem of a multistable equation with a Robin boundary condition, which may be used to describe the spreading of the invasive species with the solution representing the density of species and the free boundary ...

On a reaction–diffusion–advection system: fixed boundary or free boundary
This paper is devoted to the asymptotic behaviors of the solution to a reaction–diffusion–advection system in a homogeneous environment with fixed boundary or free boundary.

Resource Allocation in Low Density Spreading Uplink NOMA via Asymptotic Analysis [PDF]
Low density spreading non-orthogonal multiple- access (LDS-NOMA) is considered where K single-antenna user equipments (UEs) communicate with a base station (BS) over F fading sub-carriers. Each UE k spreads its data symbol over d k k , ∀k as design parameters, we characterize the resource allocation solutions that closely maximize the ergodic mutual ...

Two-dimensional quantum walk under artificial magnetic field [PDF]
We introduce the Peierls substitution to a two-dimensional discrete-time quantum walk on a square lattice to examine the spreading dynamics and the coin-position entanglement in the presence of an artificial gauge field.
