Minimal wave speed of competitive lattice dynamical systems with delays

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2018
This paper deals with the minimal wave speed of delayed lattice dynamical systems. We obtain the minimal wave speed by presenting the existence and nonexistence of traveling wave solutions, which completes the earlier results.

Spatial assortment of mixed propagules explains the acceleration of range expansion. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
Range expansion of spreading organisms has been found to follow three types: (i) linear expansion with a constant rate of spread; (ii) bi-phase expansion with a faster linear expansion following a slower linear expansion; and (iii) accelerating expansion

Dynamics for a Ratio-Dependent Prey–Predator Model with Different Free Boundaries

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, we study the dynamics of the ratio-dependent type prey–predator model with different free boundaries. The two free boundaries, determined by prey and predator, respectively, implying that they may intersect with each other as time evolves,

A diffusive stage-structured model with a free boundary

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems, 2018
In this paper we mainly consider a free boundary problem for a single-species model with stage structure in a radially symmetric setting. In our model, the individuals of a new or invasive species are classified as belonging either to the immature or to ...

Dynamics of a delayed rumor spreading model with discontinuous threshold control

open access: yesHeliyon, 2022
In this paper, we studied a delayed rumor spreading model with discontinuous threshold control. First, we studied the existence of equilibria of the subsystem.

Asymptotic Spreading for General Heterogeneous Fisher-KPP Type Equations

open access: yesMemoirs of the American Mathematical Society, 2022
In this monograph, we review the theory and establish new and general results regarding spreading properties for heterogeneous reaction-diffusion equations:

Stability Analysis of a Rumor-Spreading Model with Two Time Delays and Saturation Effect

open access: yesMathematics
Time delay and nonlinear incidence functions have a significant effect on rumor-spreading. In this article, a rumor-spreading model with two unequal time delays and a saturation effect is proposed.

Rumor spreading dynamics with an online reservoir and its asymptotic stability

open access: yesNetworks & Heterogeneous Media, 2021
<p style='text-indent:20px;'>The spread of rumors is a phenomenon that has heavily impacted society for a long time. Recently, there has been a huge change in rumor dynamics, through the advent of the Internet. Today, online communication has become as common as using a phone.

Convergence of solutions to the degenerate reaction diffusion equation with Dirichlet boundary condition

open access: yes上海师范大学学报. 自然科学版
We consider the asymptotic behavior of solutions to the porous medium equation with a positive bistable type reaction term and Dirichlet boundary condition. We first prove a convergence result.

Asymptotic Behavior of Solutions of Free Boundary Problem with Logistic Reaction Term

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2014
We study a free boundary problem for a reaction diffusion equation modeling the spreading of a biological or chemical species. In this model, the free boundary represents the spreading front of the species.
