Asymptotic Spreading for General Heterogeneous Fisher-KPP Type Equations

open access: yesMemoirs of the American Mathematical Society, 2022
In this monograph, we review the theory and establish new and general results regarding spreading properties for heterogeneous reaction-diffusion equations:

Dynamics for a Ratio-Dependent Prey–Predator Model with Different Free Boundaries

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, we study the dynamics of the ratio-dependent type prey–predator model with different free boundaries. The two free boundaries, determined by prey and predator, respectively, implying that they may intersect with each other as time evolves,

A diffusive stage-structured model with a free boundary

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems, 2018
In this paper we mainly consider a free boundary problem for a single-species model with stage structure in a radially symmetric setting. In our model, the individuals of a new or invasive species are classified as belonging either to the immature or to ...

Asymptotic Profiles of Basic Reproduction Number for Epidemic Spreading in Heterogeneous Environment [PDF]

open access: yesSIAM Journal on Applied Mathematics, 2020
The effect of diffusion rates on the basic reproduction number of a general compartmental reaction-diffusion epidemic model in a heterogeneous environment is considered. It is shown when the diffusion rates tend to zero, the limit of the basic reproduction number is the maximum value of the local reproduction number on the spatial domain.

Stability Analysis of a Rumor-Spreading Model with Two Time Delays and Saturation Effect

open access: yesMathematics
Time delay and nonlinear incidence functions have a significant effect on rumor-spreading. In this article, a rumor-spreading model with two unequal time delays and a saturation effect is proposed.

A ripple-spreading genetic algorithm for the aircraft sequencing problem [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
When genetic algorithms (GAs) are applied to combinatorial problems, permutation representations are usually adopted. Asa result, suchGAsare often confronted with feasibility and memory-efficiency problems.

Convergence of solutions to the degenerate reaction diffusion equation with Dirichlet boundary condition

open access: yes上海师范大学学报. 自然科学版
We consider the asymptotic behavior of solutions to the porous medium equation with a positive bistable type reaction term and Dirichlet boundary condition. We first prove a convergence result.

Asymptotic Behavior of Solutions of Free Boundary Problem with Logistic Reaction Term

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2014
We study a free boundary problem for a reaction diffusion equation modeling the spreading of a biological or chemical species. In this model, the free boundary represents the spreading front of the species.

Dynamics of a delayed rumor spreading model with discontinuous threshold control

open access: yesHeliyon, 2022
In this paper, we studied a delayed rumor spreading model with discontinuous threshold control. First, we studied the existence of equilibria of the subsystem.

A Q‐Learning Algorithm to Solve the Two‐Player Zero‐Sum Game Problem for Nonlinear Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, Volume 39, Issue 3, Page 566-581, March 2025.
A Q‐learning algorithm to solve the two‐player zero‐sum game problem for nonlinear systems. ABSTRACT This paper deals with the two‐player zero‐sum game problem, which is a bounded L2$$ {L}_2 $$‐gain robust control problem. Finding an analytical solution to the complex Hamilton‐Jacobi‐Issacs (HJI) equation is a challenging task.
