Novel Oral CGRP Receptor Antagonist Atogepant in the Prevention of Migraine
Advancements in molecular biology and neuroscience have uncovered calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP), a neuropeptide consisting of thirty-seven amino acids that plays a crucial role in migraine pathogenesis. CGRP receptor antagonist or gepant is an oral medication that can impede the nociceptive signaling pathway related to CGRP.

Four new Schiff bases derived from 2‐chloro‐5‐(trifluoromethyl)aniline and their corresponding palladium(II) complexes were obtained and analyzed by multiple spectroscopic techniques. Single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction elucidated the structures of all the ligands and complexes 2 and 4. Their toxicity was assessed on Triticum aestivum L.

Migraine: Epidemiology, Risk Factors, Pathophysiology, and Treatment
Migraine is a highly prevalent, female‐predominant, and disabling brain disorder shaped by genetic susceptibility, hormonal influences, modifiable attack factors, and comorbidity‐related progression. This review integrates current evidence on migraine epidemiology, phase‐specific neurovascular and neuroglial mechanisms, including CGRP signaling and ...

CGRP‐Targeted Therapy in Vestibular Migraine—How Strong Is the Evidence?
ABSTRACT Background Medications for migraine prevention targeting the calcitonin gene‐related peptide (CGRP) pathway have substantially reduced symptom burden in many patients that have failed previous treatment strategies. In contrast, data on treatment response to monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) or small molecule receptor antagonists (gepants) in ...
