Orforglipron is an orally administered, small‐molecule glucagon‐like peptide‐1 receptor agonist in clinical development for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and obesity. Orforglipron is a substrate of CYP3A4, organic anion transporting polypeptides (OATPs) 1B/1B3, and P‐glycoprotein (P‐gp); however, precipitants commonly used to define these mechanisms

Mechanistic Dichotomy in Enantioselective Pd‐Catalyzed Alkylation of Pyrroles With Diazoesters
Ligand‐controlled mechanistic divergence controls the Pd‐catalyzed asymmetric alkylation of pyrroles with diazoesters. While bipyridine ligands promote a conventional metal‐carbene pathway, bipyridine‐N,N′‐dioxide ligands redirect catalysis through electrophilic CH metalation before carbene transfer.

Use of Atorvastatin in Lipid Disorders and Cardiovascular Disease in Chinese Patients
Objective: Statins are still underused for the prevention of cardiovascular disease (CVD) in China. Hence, we conducted a systemic review on the pharmacology, clinical efficacy, and adverse events of atorvastatin, as well as on patient adherence.

Bile acid metabolism and signaling in human and animal health: A One Health perspective
Bile acids maintain host homeostasis through enterohepatic circulation, microbial transformation, and bile acid receptor signaling, thereby regulating glucose and lipid metabolism, intestinal barrier integrity, and immunity. These effects support human disease intervention and health‐oriented animal production, reducing drug dependence and residue ...

Atorvastatin action involves diminished recovery of hepatic HMG-CoA reductase activity
The effects of atorvastatin on the expression of the hepatic HMG-CoA reductase and LDL receptor genes were investigated in rats. Like the other statins, atorvastatin increased the rate of degradation and presumably cycling of the hepatic LDL receptor. In

Abstract Aims To conduct a case–control study to investigate melanopsin‐mediated post‐illumination pupillary response (PIPR) in patients with Parkinson's disease (PD), video‐polysomnography‐confirmed isolated/idiopathic rapid eye movement (REM) sleep behavior disorder (iRBD), and age‐matched healthy controls (HC). Methods PIPR was measured at 6 s after

Atorvastatin versus tetrahydrolipstatin in male patients with dyslipidemia: A systematic review and meta-analysis [PDF]
Context: Atorvastatin is typically used in the treatment of dyslipidemia. However, the interest in using anti-obesity medications such as orlistat has grown rapidly as obesity is one of the variables associated with dyslipidemia.
