Evolutionary history of Austropotamobius torrentium

2019
Austropotamobius torrentium is a freshwater crayfish species distributed across central and south-eastern Europe, with the highest genetic diversity recorded in the northern-central Dinarides. Previous studies have shown that evolutionary history of A. torrentium was shaped through different paleohydrologic and paleogeologic events from Miocene onwards.

Integrating genetics and morphometrics in species conservation—A case study on the stone crayfish, Austropotamobius torrentium

Limnologica, 2018
The stone crayfish, Austropotamobius torrentium, is a freshwater crayfish species native to Central and Southeast Europe. Due to various, mostly anthropogenic factors the species is facing a dramatic decline in many European countries. In order to plan and implement protection measures, it is essential to collect extensive data on the species ...

Structural properties of bimodal chemo- and mechanosensitive setae on the pereiopod chelae of the crayfish, Austropotamobius torrentium

Cell and Tissue Research, 1983
The setae on the inner edges of the pereiopod chelae of Austropotamobius torrentium contain eight receptor-cell endings. Two units are mechanosensitive, four react only to amino acids, to amines, or to pyridines. The remaining two units are most probably also chemoreceptors. All sensory cells possess long dendritic outer segments that extend to the tip

Austropotamobius torrentium.

2010
Austropotamobius torrentium is listed under the Annex II of the EU Habitats Directive as a species requiring special conservation measures (Souty-Grosset et al. 2006). It is also listed on the German Red List (RL3, Appendix 1), and within a number of other countries as threatened (Souty-Grosset et al. 2006).

Molecular phylogeny of the branchiobdellidans (Annelida: Clitellata) living on Croatian populations of Austropotamobius torrentium and Austropotamobius pallipes

2015
Branchiobdellidans are ectosymbiotic annelids that are primarily associated with freshwater crayfish. Previous studies of branchiobdellidans in Croatia have been focused mainly on the distribution and diversity of the genus Branchiobdella. The objective of this research was to infer the phylogenetic relationships of the branchiobdellidan species living

Notes on the morphological characteristics of Austropotamobius torrentium (Schrank) from Croatia and Macedonia

2006
The aim of this research was to verify if morphological differences between distinct stone crayfish (Austropotamobius torrentium) populations exist. For the purpose of morphological comparison between populations two morphometric and two meristic characteristics were chosen. The length of cephalothoraxe (C), rostrum (R) and apex (A) were measured.

Godišnji ciklus vrste Austropotamobius torrentium Schrank u Sarnom potoku

2000
Populacija Austropotamobius torrentium Schrank (rak kamenjar, potočni rak) je istraživana od listopada 1998. do travnja 2000. na Sarnom potoku (sjeverni obronci Medvednice). Životinje su lovljene posebno izrađenim vršama 2 puta mjesečno, a vrše s mamcima su ostavljane u potoku preko noći. Rakovima je određivan spol, težina i ukupna dužina. Bilježena je

Morfometrijske značajke i rast u vrste Austropotamobius Torrentium Schrank

2006
