Production of metallic copper powder by autocatalytic reaction in suspension
The production of metallic powder by precipitation from solution was studied in laboratory scale as an alternative to the conventionally adopted processes, based on the atomization of molten material, for producing metal powders with small particle size.

Irreversible ECM proteolysis by remodeling enzymes shapes development, homeostasis, and disease. ECM‐degrading proteases display cell specificity and are governed by shared mechanisms, exhibiting functional redundancy in generating matrikines, growth factors, and cytokines.

A guide to the types, structures, and multifaceted functions of matrix metalloproteinases in cancer
Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) orchestrate cancer progression and metastasis through proteolytic and non‐proteolytic actions. By remodeling the tumor microenvironment, enhancing growth factor availability, and modulating cell behavior, MMPs promote proliferation, migration or invasion, and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition. Alongside extracellular

Unexpected evolutionary dynamics in a string based artificial chemistry [PDF]
This work investigates closure in Cell Signaling Networks, which is one research area within the ESIGNET project. We employ a string-based Artificial Chemistry based on Holland’s broadcast language (Molecular Classifier System, Broadcast Language, or

Molecular Diversity Required for the Formation of Autocatalytic Sets
Systems chemistry deals with the design and study of complex chemical systems. However, such systems are often difficult to investigate experimentally. We provide an example of how theoretical and simulation-based studies can provide useful insights into

ABSTRACT Ethylene plays a crucial role in fruit ripening and is perceived by specialised receptor proteins embedded in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) membrane. As an ethylene antagonist, 1‐methylcyclopropene (1‐MCP) binds to these receptors and delays papaya ripening, but improper use can cause ripening disorders.

Light‐Driven Competitive Selection in a Protein‐Catalyzed Dissipative Peptide Replication
A structurally flexible protein catalyzes replication within a dissipative reaction network driven by UVA‐induced disulfide rearrangements. The protein accelerates templated autocatalytic cycles with replication emerging as the dominant pathway.
