CorA transporters are required for preventing autolysis.
(A) WT, Δmnr2 and knockdown transformants were grown on OMA for 12 days. Early autolysis was monitored compared to WT. (B) WT and Δmnr2 were grown on OMA supplemented with 4mM, 50mM, 250mM extracellular Mg2+ and 0.3mM EDTA.

Tightly focused laser irradiation can accumulate tubulin proteins at/around the laser focus, which leads to the formation of highly ordered microtubule assemblies. The assemblies can exhibit various dynamic behaviors such as radial motion, bundling, and flagella‐like rotation with motor protein and chemical energy, highlighting as a unique tool for ...

Treatment‐resistant wounds caused by polymicrobial biofilms are refractory to conventional therapies due to the dense extracellular matrices. We developed μBLAST, a microblasting wound dressing that combines MnO2‐doped biosilica and a H2O2‐releasing mesh to generate localized oxygen microbubbles that mechanically disrupt biofilms.
