This paper presents a self-powered rectifier for piezoelectric energy harvesting applications, and the key idea of the proposed system is to reset the transducer capacitor at optimal instants to maximize the extracted power. The proposed rectifier consists of two switches and two active diodes. The switches discharge the transducer capacitor at optimal

This paper describes a burst mode amplifier for packet mode, optical bus applications in the range of 1 Mb/s to 50 Mb/s. The circuit establishes an instantaneous logic threshold at the beginning of an optical data burst, handling photo-data packets differing by much as 50:1 in amplitude and separated by

Describes novel schemes developed to meet the demand for a reusable embedded SRAM core for application to a variety of SOC designs. PAS optimizes sense-amplifier activation timing by using the combination of a program and automatic control. MRAD minimizes timing-overhead by reducing the fluctuation of path-to-path delay.

Linear operation of SQUID sensors is normally provided by a flux-locked-loop, FLL, which provide a negative feedback mode of operation [1]. In the FLL, the signals are amplified, phase sensitively detected, filtered, integrated, and the resulting analog signal provides a measure of the magnetic field and noise in the SQUID output.

We propose and experimentally demonstrate a real-time automatic polarization control scheme for fiber-optic systems based on golden section search (GSS) and proportional endless reset-free (PE-RF) control action. In the proposed method, we separate the orthogonal components of the incoming state of polarization of light and use one of the polarization ...
