Willingness to ride and perceptions of autonomous public transit

open access: yes, 2020
Autonomous vehicles (AVs) hold great promise to contribute to global sustainability by expanding access to mobility. The introduction of autonomous buses and shuttles could be a turning point for public mobility in the USA, but how autonomous public ...

Kinsenoside Targets IDH1 to Restore Microglial Immune‐Metabolic Homeostasis for Alzheimer's Disease Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Dysregulated TCA cycle contributes to Alzheimer's disease (AD) pathogenesis. Here, we show that microglial isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1) is a critical driver. Elevated IDH1 disrupts citrate metabolism and mitochondrial function, exacerbating AD pathology.

Microbial Odorant Detection Guides Drosophila Parasitoids Seeking Hosts in Fermenting Fruits

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Yeast microbes in fermenting fruits attract both host flies and their parasitoid wasps. Female Leptopilina boulardi detect yeast‐emitted ethyl esters via two olfactory receptors, LbouOR167 and LbouOR136. A conserved residue, Leu159, is critical for binding these compounds, enabling female wasps to locate host‐rich habitats.

Comparing two constellation analyses: Insights from the development of weeding robots and autonomous shuttles

open access: yesTATuP – Zeitschrift für Technikfolgenabschätzung in Theorie und Praxis
Constellation analysis is a bridging concept for transdisciplinary strategy development. This article compares how constellation analysis was applied in two projects to map strategies for establishing new socio-technical constellations.

A Biomimetic Nanoparticle System Intercepts and Degrades Thrombospondin‐1 to Restore Vascular Homeostasis After Ischemic Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
TAX2‐NPs capture extracellular TSP‐1 in the injured liver and promote its macrophage‐mediated autophagic degradation. This process blocks TSP‐1/CD47 signaling, restores VEGFR2‐AKT activity, preserves endothelial function, and mitigates hepatic ischemia‐reperfusion injury.

Introducing automated shuttles in the public transport of European cities: The case of the AVENUE project

open access: yes, 2020
International audienceOur current mobility paradigm has reached a tipping point. Individual mobility, based on cheap fossil fuel and high CO2 emissions no longermeet the needs posed by a globally increasing demand for passenger mobility, neither ...

Cancer‐Associated Fibroblast‐Derived Sphingosine‐1‐Phosphate Activates a MALL–SDC4 Axis to Facilitate Perineural Invasion in Pancreatic Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CAF‐derived S1P activates the S1PR3‐JNK‐Jun signaling pathway, thereby transcriptionally upregulating MALL expression in cancer cells. MALL increases the cell‐surface abundance of SDC4 by promoting its recycling and restricting its lysosomal degradation, which in turn enhances RhoA‐p‐MLC2‐dependent amoeboid invasion and SDC4‐PTN axis‐mediated cancer ...
