Effect of Steel Support Cross-Section and Preloaded Axial Force on the Stability of Deep Foundation Pits

open access: yesBuildings
To investigate the effects of steel support cross-section dimensions and preloaded axial force levels on the stability of foundation pits, numerical simulations were conducted for open-cut deep foundation pits based on monitoring data from Changchun ...

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Therapeutic strategies for MMAE‐resistant bladder cancer through DPP4 inhibition

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We established monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE)‐resistant bladder cancer (BC) cell lines by exposure to progressively increasing concentrations of MMAE in vitro. RNA sequencing showed DPP4 expression was increased in MMAE‐resistant BC cells. Both si‐DPP4 and the DPP4 inhibitor sitagliptin suppressed the viability of MMAE‐resistant BC cells.

Research on the axial force-slip characteristics of permanent magnetic eddy current Frictional torque limiter

open access: yesMeitan kexue jishu, 2023
In view of the current situation of short life and poor reliability of the overload protection device of friction moment limiter in coal mine machinery, a new high-power fast breaking permanent magnet eddy current friction Moment limiter (PMEFTL) is ...

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Effect of Wind Loading Pattern on Shear Lag Phenomenon in Framed-Tube Building [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Rehabilitation in Civil Engineering
High-rise tubular buildings experience the shear lag phenomenon due to wind load. This phenomenon results in tension in upper storey columns that may adversely affect building stability.

Experimental Verification of Passive Axial Electrodynamic Suspension in a Bearingless Motor

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Industry Applications, 2023
This article investigates a bearingless motor with passive electrodynamic axial suspension. The axial suspension force is generated by a specific coil configuration called a figure-eight coil.

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Axial force measurement for esophageal function testing

open access: yesWorld Journal of Gastroenterology, 2009
The esophagus serves to transport food and fluid from the pharynx to the stomach. Manometry has been the "golden standard" for the diagnosis of esophageal motility diseases for many decades. Hence, esophageal function is normally evaluated by means of manometry even though it reflects the squeeze force (force in radial direction) whereas the bolus ...

Influence of axial force and characteristics of axial force affecting on total knee replacement constraint test

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering, 2021
Abstract The result of testing for determination of Total Knee Replacement (TKR) Constraint (ASTM F1223) is necessary for surgeons for matching the knee prosthesis with the different degrees of severities of knee osteoarthritis patients. In the knee replacement constraint test, the axial compressive load and translation displacement are ...
