Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

A Nagykarácsonyi Ciszterci Plébánia első plébánosa: Dr. Debreczeni Sixtus (1945–1948)

open access: yesAxis
Előszállás 1659-ben került a zirci ciszterci apátság birtokába. 1711-től a török időkben elnéptelenedett területen megkezdődött a rendi gazdálkodás, és a környező pusztákon előszállási központtal majorságot alakítottak ki.

c-axis electrodynamics of ybco

open access: yes, 1998
New measurements of surface impedance in ybco show that the c-axis penetration depth and conductivity below Tc exhibit behaviour different from that observed in the planes.

Neuropsychological Outcomes of U.S. Veterans with Report of Remote Blast-Related Concussion and Current Psychopathology [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
This study explored whether remote blast-related MTBI and/or current Axis I psychopathology contribute to neuropsychological outcomes among OEF/OIF veterans with varied combat histories.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Developing a gender measure and examining its association with cardiovascular diseases incidence: a 28-year prospective cohort study

open access: yesBMC Medicine
Background Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are the leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Examining gender (socio-cultural) in addition to sex (biological) is required to untangle socio-cultural characteristics contributing to inequities ...

„Habent sua fata…” Somogyi kastélytörténetek és forrásaik a 18–20. századból

open access: yesAxis

Impact of Rotation on the Retarded Interaction between a Permanent Dipole Particle and a Polarizable Surface [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We have calculated components of torque and the interaction energy of small rotating particle with a permanent dipole moment in the case where the rotation axis is perpendicular to the surface and the dipole axis is inclined to it.

On the angular momentum dependence of nuclear level densities

open access: yes, 1993
Angular momentum dependence of nuclear level densities at finite temperatures are investigated in the static path approximation(SPA) to the partition function using a cranked quadrupole interaction Hamiltonian in the following three schemes: (i) cranking

The Relationship between Personality Organization and Psychiatric Classification in Chronic Pain Patients [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The assessment of PO is a crucial issue for diagnosis and treatment planning in CPPs, since it represents a measure of structural impairment that is to a considerable extent independent of axis I and II diagnoses.
