Purpose The dependence of the long‐time (tortuosity) limit of the extra‐cellular diffusivity on the intra‐cellular volume fraction is of fundamental importance for microstructure modeling. While such dependencies have been explored for the white matter, the tortuosity limit in gray matter is unknown due to complex cell composition and geometry. Here we

Ultrasound‐Confirmed Median Nerve Pseudoconduction Block due to Anatomical Variation
ABSTRACT Introduction/Aims Conduction block (CB) at non‐entrapment sites is an important electrodiagnostic (EDX) feature supporting acquired demyelinating neuropathies. However, anatomical variation may produce pseudoconduction block, mimicking true CB.

TMSC‐SCs were mixed with fibrin adhesive and administered into the sciatic nerve of CCI rats, and nerve conduction studies and histopathological observations confirmed the regeneration of the peripheral nerve and gastrocnemius muscle. In addition, the expression of M1 and M2 macrophage markers was observed after the administration of TMSC‐SCs. ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT Introduction Severe brain injury has been reported following fetoscopic laser ablation (FLA) for twin‐to‐twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS), but imaging patterns and temporal evolution remain poorly defined. This study aimed to characterize the progression of severe brain injury after FLA. Methods We conducted a retrospective case series of TTTS

Abstract Background Hip adductor spasticity is a common affliction among patients with disorders of the central nervous system. Cryoneurolysis is a novel intervention for spasticity involving the application of extreme cold to a nerve. This induces axonal breakdown, relieving spasticity.

Feedback-Driven Assembly of the Axon Initial Segment [PDF]
The axon initial segment (AIS) is a unique neuronal compartment that plays a crucial role in the generation of action potential and neuronal polarity. The assembly of the AIS requires membrane, scaffolding, and cytoskeletal proteins, including Ankyrin-G ...
