Hormonal Restoration of Masculine Sexual Behavior in Long-Term Castrated B6D2F1 Mice
Physiology and Behavior, 1988In contrast to the facilitative effects reported for other rodents, testosterone treatment at the time of castration previously was reported to inhibit masculine sexual behavior in male B6D2F1 mice. Males of this genotype vary in their behavioral response to castration. Some castrates retain sexual behaviors for many weeks after surgery, whereas others

Retention of Masculine Sexual Behavior Following Castration in Male B6D2F1 Mice
Physiology and Behavior, 1988The reduction of masculine sexual behavior following castration varies widely among genotypes. In contrast to the loss of sexual behavior by castrated males of other strains, males of the B6D2F1 genotype retain the ejaculatory reflex for many weeks after castration. The present study examined this retention phenomenon.

Tissue Specific Expression of PKR Protein Kinase in Aging B6D2F1 Mice
Mechanisms of Ageing and Development, 2000A decline in the rate of protein synthesis is a common biochemical change observed with aging in a wide variety of cells and organisms. The double stranded RNA-dependent protein kinase PKR has been shown to phosphorylate eukaryotic initiation factor 2 alpha (eIF-2alpha), a well-characterized factor for down-regulating protein synthesis, in response to ...

[Pharmacokinetics of bendamustin (Cytostasan) in B6D2F1-mice].
Die Pharmazie, 1992The pharmacokinetics of bendamustine, (1; Cytostasan), an alkylating antineoplastic agent of the N-lost group, was investigated in B6D2F1 mice. After i.v. injection of the maximally tolerated dose of 50 mg/kg a rapid decrease of the unchanged drug in plasma (MRT 21.9 min) and slowly decreasing levels of mono-, dihydroxy and beta-hydroxy-1 were observed.

Inhibition of the ejaculatory reflex in B6D2F1 mice by testosterone propionate
Behavioral Biology, 1976Testosterone propionate was administered in adulthood to neonatally androgenized female house mice and castrated male house mice of the B6D2F1 genotype. Lengthening of Ejaculation Latency (a measure of mating time) occurred in both groups. Castrated males showed a proportional increase in Ejaculation Latency with increasing dose.

Different Oestrogenic Responses of ICR, B6D2F1 and B6C3F1 Mice Given Diethylstilboestrol Orally
Food and Chemical Toxicology, 1984Immature female ICR, B6D2F1 and B6C3F1 mice were each given a total of 0.1 microgram diethylstilboestrol (DES) by stomach intubation over 4 days. Using uterine weight as a measure of oestrogenic response, it was found that the two inbred strains were significantly more sensitive than the ICR mice to DES.
