28Silicon Irradiation Impairs Contextual Fear Memory in B6D2F1 Mice

Radiation Research, 2015
The space radiation environment consists of multiple species of charged particles, including (28)Si, (48)Ti and protons that may impact cognition, but their damaging effects have been poorly defined. In mouse studies, C57Bl6/J homozygous wild-type mice and genetic mutant mice on a C57Bl6/J background have typically been used for assessing effects of ...

Preliminary Toxicity Profile of Arotinoids SMR-2 and SMR-6 in Male B6D2F1 Mice

Toxicological Sciences, 1987
Arotinoids, which are analogs of retinoic acid (RA) and retinol (RO) with the carbon skeleton in a rigid conformation, have more favorable therapeutic indices relative to all-trans-RA and all-trans-RO. The purpose of this investigation was to obtain preliminary in vivo toxicity data on SMR-2(analog of RO) and SMR-6 (analog of RA), arotinoids with ...

The DTH effector response and IL-2 are unaffected by cyclosporine A in autoimmune B6D2F1 mice

Cellular Immunology, 2010
Delayed-type hypersensitivity (DTH) is classically defined as inflammation involving activated Th1 cells and cytokine production. DTH paw swelling, along with the cytokines IL-2, IFNγ, MCP-1 and TNFα, were inhibited in Balb/c mice by cyclosporine A (CsA).

Toxicologic Evaluation of Cis-Diamminedichloroplatinum II in B6D2F1 Mice

Toxicological Sciences, 1981
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the toxicologic responses of mice to cis-diammine-dichloroplatinum II (cis-DDP), an established antitumor drug, and compare them to those reported in rats, dogs, and monkeys. This comparison would facilitate the continuing appraisal of the usefulness and reliability of the mouse to predict the toxicologic ...

Antigraft responses to the H-28c antigen by B6 and B6D2F1 mice

Immunogenetics, 1988
The survival of minor H antigen-bearing skin grafts from donors congenic with C57BL/6 (B6) was compared in B6, B6D2, and AB6 hybrid recipients. In a case singled out for further study, B6 mice were found to reject HW110 skin (H-28c antigen) rapidly, whereas B6D2 mice rejected HW110 skin much more slowly and variably.

Peripubertal Gonadal Steroids Are Necessary for Steroid-Independent Male Sexual Behavior in Castrated B6D2F1 Male Mice

Hormones and Behavior, 2019
Gonadal steroids play an integral role in male sexual behavior, and in most rodent models, this relationship is tightly coupled. However, many other species, including humans, continue to demonstrate male sex behavior in the absence of gonadal steroids, and the mechanisms that regulate steroid-independent male sex behavior are not well understood ...

Differences in the immune response to long term A? vaccination in C57BL/6 and B6D2F1 mice

Vaccine, 2004
The cerebral accumulation of beta-amyloid (Abeta) is a pathological hallmark of Alzheimer's disease (AD). Abeta vaccination or anti-Abeta specific antibodies may be a possible therapeutic option for AD. Previously, we demonstrated variation in the humoral response between B6D2F1 and C57BL/6 during short term (14 weeks) Abeta immunization.

Chronic Ultra-Mild Stress Improves Locomotor Performance of B6D2F1 Mice in a Motor Risk Situation

Behavioural Brain Research, 2004
Chronic low grade stress predispose to psychopathological disorders. We consistently showed that chronic ultra-mild stress (CUMS) applied to B6D2F1 female mice induced behavioral disinhibition in several conflict exploration models. Insufficient reactivity to conflicts may be maladaptive and lead to inappropriate appreciation of potential risks and ...

Adoptive transfer of natural killer cell activity in B6D2F1 mice challenged with Salmonella typhimurium

Cellular Immunology, 1991
The purpose of this study was to extend our previous findings as to the role of murine NK cells in host protection to a challenge infection with virulent Salmonella typhimurium SR-11. B6D2F1 mice were depleted of NK cells with anti-asialo GM1 or a monoclonal antibody, anti-NK 1.1, followed by a salmonellae challenge.

Influence of leukemia P388 on the pharmacokinetics of mitoguazone in B6D2F1 mice.

Die Pharmazie, 1990
The aim of the present study was to investigate the influence of different stages of leukemia P388 on the pharmacokinetics of the antineoplastic agent mitoguazone in mice. It could be shown that, independent of the tumor stage investigated, the total clearance of mitoguazone is slightly reduced reflecting a moderate increase of AUC in the serum of ...
