Transmission of Microplitis croceipes (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) Nonoccluded Baculovirus (Baculoviridae: Subgroup C)

Environmental Entomology, 1996
Transmission of Microplitis croceipes (Cresson) nonoccluded baculovirus (Mc-NOBV) within and among individual Microplitis croceipes wasps was studied by light microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. Systemic transmission by way of hemolymph may represent the major route of transmission of this virus in a host.

Insecticidal Properties and Microbial Contaminants in a Spodoptera exigua Multiple Nucleopolyhedrovirus (Baculoviridae) Formulation Stored at Different Temperatures

Journal of Economic Entomology, 2008
The Spodoptera exigua (Hübner) multiple nucleopolyhedrovirus (SeMNPV) is currently being tested as a biological insecticide for use in greenhouse crops in southern Spain. We performed a study in which semipurified SeMNPV occlusion bodies (OBs) were formulated in phosphate-buffered saline, pH 6.5, with 5% (vol:vol) glycerol and 0.15% (wt:vol) sorbic ...

Compatibility of Alphabaculovirus spofrugiperdae (Lefavirales: Baculoviridae) with Fungicides

ABSTRACT Agriculture in Brazil stands out globally due to favorable environmental conditions that support high productivity; however, pest infestations remain a major challenge, increasing production costs and reducing crop efficiency. In Espírito Santo state, tomato cultivation is especially important in regions characterized by intensive pesticide ...

[Proof of transovarial transmission of Lymantria dispar nucleopolyhedrovirus (fam. Baculoviridae) with the RAPD-PCR method].

Zhurnal obshchei biologii, 2008
Transovarial transmission of Lymantria dispar Nucleopolyhedrovirus is shown with the RAPD-PCR method. Genetic markers of virus DNA found with the primer OPA-08 are recommended for diagnostics of Lymantria dispar nucleopolyhedrosis, in particular at the egg stage.
