The Astrocyte Clock Controls Circadian Perineuronal Net Remodeling, Synapse Strength and Learning Behavior [PDF]
Bmal1 regulates astrocyte extracellular matrix (ECM) gene expression. Bmal1 deletion in astrocytes disrupts normal circadian rhythms in perineuronal nets (PNN) and reduces PNN content in the hippocampus. In parallel with loss of PNNs, deletion of the core circadian clock gene Bmal1 in astrocytes alters behavior and synaptic function in vivo.

Mechanism of N6-methyladenosine (m6A)-mediated upregulation of LINC00958 in the growth of cervical cancer [PDF]
ObjectiveCervical cancer (CC) remains a prominent contributor to cancer mortality amongst women. Long non-coding RNAs (LncRNAs) participate in CC progression.

Blockage of autophagy causes severe skeletal muscle disruption in a mouse model for myofibrillar myopathy 6 [PDF]
Myofibrillar myopathy 6 is a rare, autosomal-dominant neuromuscular disorder caused by an amino acid exchange Pro209Leu in the co-chaperone BAG3, which disrupts muscle protein turnover and causes severe muscle weakness and shortened lifespan.

BAG3 regulates bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell proliferation by targeting INTS7 [PDF]
Background BAG3 is an essential regulator of cell survival and has been investigated in the context of heart disease and cancer. Our previous study used immunoprecipitation-liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry to show that BAG3 might directly ...

Cleavage of Bcl-2-associated athanogene by metacaspase determines plant antiviral immunity [PDF]
Nucleotide-binding leucine-rich repeat receptors (NLRs) function as core components of innate immunity in both plants and animals. In animals, NLR activation initiates caspase-mediated immune signaling.

The anti-apoptotic activity of BAG3 is restricted by caspases and the proteasome. [PDF]
Caspase-mediated cleavage and proteasomal degradation of ubiquitinated proteins are two independent mechanisms for the regulation of protein stability and cellular function. We previously reported BAG3 overexpression protected ubiquitinated clients, such

Dilated Cardiomyopathy Due to BLC2-Associated Athanogene 3 (BAG3) Mutations [PDF]
BACKGROUND: The BAG3 (BLC2-associated athanogene 3) gene codes for an antiapoptotic protein located on the sarcomere Z-disc. Mutations in BAG3 are associated with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), but only a small number of cases have been reported to date ...

The cochaperone BCL2-associated athanogene 3 (BAG3), in complex with the heat shock protein HSPB8, facilitates mitotic rounding, spindle orientation, and proper abscission of daughter cells. BAG3 and HSPB8 mitotic functions implicate the sequestosome p62/
