Integrated Multi‐Omics Analysis Reveals the Genetic Basis of Phenotypic Variation in Tibetan Sheep

open access: yesIntegrative Zoology, EarlyView.
SNaPshot‐validated GWAS results demonstrated significant correlations between candidate single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and body size traits in Tibetan sheep. Concurrently, hematoxylin and eosin staining, alongside muscle fiber analysis, confirmed pronounced morphological differences in muscle tissue between sheep of varying conformation.

A BAG3 chaperone complex maintains cardiomyocyte function during proteotoxic stress. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Molecular chaperones regulate quality control in the human proteome, pathways that have been implicated in many diseases, including heart failure. Mutations in the BAG3 gene, which encodes a co-chaperone protein, have been associated with heart failure ...

Ruolo della proteina BAG3 nel microambiente tumorale [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
2009 - 2010Recenti studi hanno dimostrato che il microambiente tumorale subisce numerosi cambiamenti nel corso dello sviluppo del tumore e influenza l’evoluzione e la progressione del cancro.

A Role for the Chaperone Complex BAG3-HSPB8 in Actin Dynamics, Spindle Orientation and Proper Chromosome Segregation during Mitosis.

open access: yesPLoS Genetics, 2015
The co-chaperone BAG3, in complex with the heat shock protein HSPB8, plays a role in protein quality control during mechanical strain. It is part of a multichaperone complex that senses damaged cytoskeletal proteins and orchestrates their seclusion and ...

BAG3 recognizes folding status of αB-crystallin.

open access: yes, 2013
(A) BAG3 binds to mutant type of αB-crystallin strongly. Wild type (WT) or mutant (R120G) αB-crystallin was expressed in HEK293 cells with Flag-tagged BAG3, and the cell lysate was mixed with anti-Flag antibody.

Serum‐Proteomic Profiling Reveals Distinct Atopic Dermatitis Severity‐Linked Signatures

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
This study aimed to identify a set of serum biomarkers that robustly distinguish prespecified severe from mild atopic dermatitis groups. Serum proteomic profiling distinguishes severe from mild atopic dermatitis, revealing an epithelial enriched severity footprint linked to LDH‐associated tissue injury and Th2/Th22 inflammation.

BAG3 coordinates astrocytic proteostasis of Alzheimer’s disease-linked proteins via proteasome, autophagy, and retromer complex interactions

open access: yesbioRxiv
Background Bcl-2-associated athanogene 3 (BAG3) is a mediator of chaperone assisted selective autophagy, and in the brain, most highly expressed in astrocytes. However, its role in astrocytes remains poorly defined.

Neuron‐Targeted Exosomal Delivery of siRNA Against RIPK3 Slows Neurodegenerative Progression in Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 55, 5 October 2026.
Engineered exosomal siRNA delivery platform enables systemic, neuron‐targeted RNA transport across the blood–brain barrier. Surface functionalization with rabies virus glycoprotein‐derived peptide facilitates receptor‐mediated transcytosis, achieving efficient cytosolic delivery and robust gene silencing. Targeting RIPK3 suppresses necroptosis, reduces

BAG3 as a novel prognostic biomarker in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma correlating with immune infiltrates

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Medical Research
Purpose BCL-2-associated athanogene 3 (BAG3) is an anti-apoptotic protein that plays an essential role in the onset and progression of multiple cancer types.

USP32 facilitates non-small cell lung cancer progression via deubiquitinating BAG3 and activating RAF-MEK-ERK signaling pathway

open access: yesOncogenesis
The regulatory significance of ubiquitin-specific peptidase 32 (USP32) in tumor is significant, nevertheless, the biological roles and regulatory mechanisms of USP32 in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) remain unclear.
