Baicalein Inhibits MMPs Expression via a MAPK-Dependent Mechanism in Chondrocytes
Background: Baicalein is a flavonoid isolated from Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi. Here, we investigated the anti-osteoarthritic effect of baicalein in vitro and in vivo.

Baicalein as a potent neuroprotective agent: A review
In recent times, neurodegenerative diseases are the most challenging global health problems. Neuronal cell death or damage is a key factor for many neurodegenerative disorders. Therefore, there has been a growing interest in the development of effective neuroprotective agents, especially from natural sources.

Light‐Controlled Modulation of 15‐Lipoxygenase‐1 Regulates Intestinal Inflammatory Signaling
The developed target‐guided strategy enables the rational design of diazo‐based photoswitchable inhibitors of 15‐lipoxygenase‐1. Distinct molecular architectures program opposite light‐dependent activity, allowing on‐demand control of enzyme inhibition.

Targeting eEF1A1 with baicalein disrupts the eEF1A1‐Prdx4 interaction to prevent RNF14‐mediated ubiquitination and degradation of Prdx4. This stabilizes Prdx4 to suppress NF‐κB, thereby alleviating sepsis‐induced acute lung injury. ABSTRACT Sepsis is a systemic inflammatory response syndrome triggered by an uncontrolled host response to infection ...

Baicalein inhibits progression of gallbladder cancer cells by downregulating ZFX. [PDF]
Baicalein, a widely used Chinese herbal medicine, has multiple pharmacological activities. However, the precise mechanisms of the anti-proliferation and anti-metastatic effects of baicalein on gallbladder cancer (GBC) remain poorly understood. Therefore,

PD alleviates APAP‐induced ALI by inhibiting the NLRP3 inflammasome signaling pathway. C/EBPβ is identified as a direct target via multimethod validation. PD promotes the deacetylation of C/EBPβ via Sirt1. The Sirt1/C/EBPβ/NLRP3 signaling axis is defined for PD's hepatoprotective effect.

ABSTRACT Myocardial ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury is characterized by cardiomyocyte death, excessive oxidative stress, inflammation, and ferroptosis, which collectively limit the efficacy of reperfusion therapy. In this study, we investigated whether kaempferol (KAE), a natural flavonol with antioxidative and antiinflammatory properties, could ...
