Phase Transformation Behavior of Continuously Cooled Fe–C–V–(Mo) Alloys
Additions of vanadium and molybdenum microalloying are shown to reshape phase transformations in clean low‐carbon steels. By tracking microstructural shifts during continuous cooling, the work uncovers the correlation between transformation kinetics, ferrite morphology, and hardness.

In situ observation of bainitic transformation behavior in medium carbon bainitic steel
The bainitic transformation behavior of samples with different scales was observed with dilatometer (DIL), high-temperature laser scanning confocal microscope (LCSM), and environmental transmission electron microscope (ETEM). Results show that the bainitic transformation behavior varies according to the geometrical size of samples, and it is mainly ...

Austenite-Bainite Transformation Kinetics in Austempered AISI 5160 Steel
This research investigates the process of the formation of bainite in austempered 5160 steel. Steel bar samples were austenitized at 1128 K for 20 minutes followed by holding at various times from 10 seconds to 2 hours and isothermal temperatures from ...

A double intercritical annealing strategy is proposed to tailor the multiphase microstructure and mechanical response of a medium‐Mn steel. The treatment produces an ultrafine mixture of ferrite, martensite and multiple austenite populations with graded thermal and mechanical stability, formed through austenite reversion and controlled retransformation.
