Dithiol surface treatment towards improved charge transfer dynamic and reduced lead leakage in lead halide perovskite solar cells

open access: yesEcoMat, 2022
With efficiency surpassing 25%, perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have received much attention because of their excellent potential in photovoltaic field. However, there are some challenging issues still exist which need to be addressed.

Universal Mechanism of Band-Gap Engineering in Transition-Metal Dichalcogenides. [PDF]

open access: yesNano letters (Print), 2017
van der Waals two-dimensional (2D) semiconductors have emerged as a class of materials with promising device characteristics owing to the intrinsic band gap.

Polarization Gradient Effect of Negative Capacitance LTFET

open access: yesMicromachines, 2022
In this paper, an L-shaped tunneling field effect transistor (LTFET) with ferroelectric gate oxide layer (Si: HfO2) is proposed. The electric characteristic of NC-LTFET is analyzed using Synopsys Sentaurus TCAD.

Phonon Band Gaps

open access: yesJournal de Physique I, 1997
We present structures, based on rods, that exhibit phonon band gaps. Structures based on rods made out of segments of different materials have very large gaps or multiple gaps. For homogeneous cylinders smaller gaps exist. Possible applications are discussed.

Temperature and magnetization-dependent band-gap renormalization and optical many-body effects in diluted magnetic semiconductors

open access: yes, 2005
We calculate the Coulomb interaction induced density, temperature and magnetization dependent many-body band-gap renormalization in a typical diluted magnetic semiconductor GaMnAs in the optimally-doped metallic regime as a function of carrier density ...

Band gap engineered zinc oxide nanostructures via a sol–gel synthesis of solvent driven shape-controlled crystal growth

open access: yesRSC Advances, 2019
A reliable sol–gel approach, which combines the formation of ZnO nanocrystals and a solvent driven, shape-controlled, crystal-growth process to form well-organized ZnO nanostructures at low temperature is presented.

Width-Dependent Band Gap in Armchair Graphene Nanoribbons Reveals Fermi Level Pinning on Au(111) [PDF]

open access: yesACS Nano, 2017
We report the energy level alignment evolution of valence and conduction bands of armchair-oriented graphene nanoribbons (aGNR) as their band gap shrinks with increasing width.

A finite element analysis of the effects of geometrical shape on the elastic properties of chemical vapor deposited diamond nanowire

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2017
We report the effect of geometrical shape of diamond nanowire on its mechanical properties. Finite element modeling using COMSOL Multiphysics software is used to simulate various diamond nanowire with circular, square, rectangular, hexagonal and ...

Determination of the Band Gap Energy for Ternary Material Sn-In-Zn-O Thin Films by Electron Spectroscopy and Ultra-visible Spectrometer [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The SnInZnO thin film was prepared at room temperature by RF magnetron sputtering. The band gap of this film was investigated by REELS and UV-Spectrometer analysis.

Two Faces of NOTCH1 in Childhood Lymphoblastic T‐Cell Neoplasia: Prognostic Divergence of Mutational and Structural Aberrations

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In pediatric patients, T‐cell lymphoblastic lymphoma (T‐LBL) survival exceeds 80%. Relapse remains associated with limited curative options. Frontline treatment is largely extrapolated from T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) treatment, reflecting the ongoing debate, whether both entities represent distinct diseases or variants within ...
