Chemotherapy side effects significantly impact cancer survivors' quality of life. Using protein levels in blood samples from breast cancer patients before and after 12 weeks of taxane treatment, we detected treatment‐dependent changes in calcium signaling and aging pathways associated with cancer recurrence.

Regulation of Bcl-xl Channel Activity by Calcium [PDF]
Recent studies have demonstrated that the anti-apoptotic proteins, Bcl-2 and Bcl-xl, with the carboxyl-terminal hydrophobic domain removed, form cation-selective channels in the lipid bilayer reconstitution system. However, the regulatory properties of these channels are unknown.

Bcl-xL suppresses GAS internalization.
(A) The number of cells containing GcAV were counted and presented as the percentage of the total number of GAS-infected cells. HeLa cells stably expressing GFP-LC3 were transfected with FLAG-control, -Bcl-2, or -Bcl-xL and infected with GAS (MOI = 100 ...

TRMT6‐mediated m1A modification in CDK9 mRNA enhances its mRNA stability and translation efficiency, thereby increasing the protein levels of CDK9. Upregulated CDK9 promotes the progression of HCC by elevating the levels of oncogenic factors including p‐STAT3, MCL1, and BCL‐2. On the other hand, CDK9 phosphorylates TARDBP at Ser254 to activate HBV core

Mitochondria‐Damaging Self‐Reporting Probe for Cancer Therapy
We developed a class of self‐reporting cationic chemotherapeutic probes that selectively induce mitochondrial damage and apoptosis in cancer cells. Their unique mitochondria‐to‐nucleus fluorescence migration enables real‐time visualization of the therapeutic process. ABSTRACT Mitochondrial damage induced by chemotherapeutic agents through disruption of

Introduction Bcl-xL, an important member of anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 family, plays critical roles in tumor progression and development. Previously, we have reported that overexpression of Bcl-xL was correlated with prognosis of colorectal cancer (CRC ...

Unraveling the Molecular Mechanisms Underlying Spontaneous Multipolar Mitosis Through CIN‐seq
Multipolar mitosis, a hallmark of chromosomal instability (CIN), drives tumor heterogeneity but is challenging to study in live cells. Using CIN‐seq, a single‐cell multiomics method, we profiled rare CIN events and identified mechanisms associated with viable multipolar mitosis, including PTEN attenuation, Rho GTPase‐driven cytokinesis failure, and ...

Anti-Apoptotic Protein Bcl-xL Expression in the Midbrain Raphe Region Is Sensitive to Stress and Glucocorticoids. [PDF]
Anti-apoptotic proteins are suggested to be important for the normal health of neurons and synapses as well as for resilience to stress. In order to determine whether stressful events may influence the expression of anti-apoptotic protein Bcl-xL in the ...
