Dolomedes schauinslandi Simon 1899 is a large fishing spiderspecies endemic to the Chatham Islands, New Zealand. Today, it only occurs on remote offshore islands, being extinct from most islands of the archipelago. Unusual for a fishing spider, D. schauinslandi has evolved a terrestrial lifestyle, inhabiting forests and feeding predominantly on cave ...

Post‐translational regulation of human D‐3‐phosphoglycerate dehydrogenase in Alzheimer's disease
Abstract Emerging evidence suggests that sex‐specific differences in L‐serine (L‐Ser) metabolism play a key role in Alzheimer's disease (AD). While disruptions in amino acid balance are well known, recent findings point to a dimorphic regulation of the serine biosynthetic pathway.

High‐Yield Assembly of Plasmon‐Coupled Nanodiamonds Using DNA Origami for Tuned Emission
Engineering assemblies of single‐photon emitters and plasmonic elements with nanometer precision opens pathways for quantum sensing and photonics applications. A surface functionalization strategy is established for grafting DNA onto nanodiamonds, and their placement on DNA origami is optimized to achieve yields above 50%.

Evaluating the Microstructure and Interaction of Bioaggregates in Concrete Using microCT
ABSTRACT This study investigates the use of x‐ray computed microtomography (microCT) to evaluate the incorporation of bioaggregates—specifically macauba (Acrocomia aculeata) endocarp and jute fibers—into cement‐based composites. MicroCT enables non‐destructive, three‐dimensional characterization of the internal microstructure, providing insights into ...
