Contribution of Substituent Groups to the Extractability of Phenols and Benzoic Acids [PDF]
The contribution of substituent groups to the extractability of phenols and benzoic acids was examined by using a substituent constant, π, derived from the distribution coefficients of nonionic substances.

Lighting up the path to precision oncology: This review comprehensively summarizes the rational design of carbon dots (CDs), elucidating how core size, surface chemistry, and heteroatom doping dictate their luminescence mechanisms. Special emphasis is placed on engineering NIR‐II emissive CDs for deep‐tissue imaging.

Monosubstituted N‐arylhydroxylamines represent a unique subclass of hydroxylamines that act as pivotal intermediates in redox transformations and as versatile platforms for further synthetic transformations. They serve as key building blocks in the synthesis of architecturally complex heterocycles and other valuable organic compounds.

Self‐Complementary Dimers Based on Zwitterionic Halogen Bond Donors
In this study we present the first isolated zwitterionic homodimers based on halogen bonding (XB). After optimization of the structures by changing the Lewis base (LB) and the backbone, their dimerization was observed in gas phase, as well as, in solid state.

Vapour pressures, enthalpies and entropies of sublimation of para substituted benzoic acids
The vapour pressures of six para-substituted benzoic acids were measured using the Knudsen effusion method within the pressure range (0.1-1 Pa) in the following temperature intervals: 4-hydroxybenzoic acid (365.09-387.28) K; 4-cyanobenzoic acid (355.14 ...

The development of chemoselective catalysts that operate across structurally diverse substrates remains a long‐standing challenge. Here, we demonstrate that a random heteropolymer bearing carboxylic acid and urea residues functions as a general epoxidation catalyst for olefinic quaternary ammonium salts.
