Diacetylene‐containing glycan mimetics cluster upon selective lectin binding in GUVs. Subsequent irradiation leads to the formation of fluorescent polymer clusters, while non‐clustered glycan mimetics remain unaffected in the membrane. ABSTRACT The glycocalyx, a dense layer of glycoproteins and glycolipids on eukaryotic cells, is essential for cellular

Surface photochemistry: benzophenone within nanochannels of H+ and Na+ ZSM-5 zeolites [PDF]
This work reports a surface photochemistry study of benzophenone within nanochannels of MFI zeolites, in this case a series of H+ and Na+ ZSM-5 zeolites where the acidity of the host is varied systematically.

Surface photochemistry: benzophenone as a probe for the study of silica and reversed-phase silica surfaces [PDF]
This work reports the use of benzophenone, a very well characterized probe, to study new hosts: two reversed-phase silicas. Laser-induced room temperature luminescence of argon purged solid powdered samples of benzophenone adsorbed onto the two different

Optical Durability of Contemporary PV Encapsulants Through Artificial UV Weathering
Encapsulant choice can be used to mitigate UV‐induced degradation in modern silicon photovoltaic modules, but this strategy is only effective if encapsulants are durable under UV weathering. This study identifies optical changes to 14 commercial encapsulants as a function of UV weathering and identifies that, while changes to material transmittance ...

Bioconjugation Strategies for Revealing the Roles of Glycerophospholipids in Cells. [PDF]
Glycerophospholipids are the main class of phospholipids, essential for membrane structure, compartmentalization, and cellular signaling. To study their roles, innovative probes and advanced bioconjugation strategies have been developed, including by de novo lipid synthesis and bioorthogonal conjugation chemistry.
