On the Stereoselective Behavior in the Photochemical Paternò–Büchi Reaction of Benzophenone With Phenyl‐(2‐furyl)Methanol

Hydrogen bond formation determines stereoselectivity in photochemical reaction allowing the formation of complexes between the reagents and these complexes determine the stereochemistry of the product. ABSTRACT Paternò–Büchi reaction between benzophenone and phenyl‐(2‐furyl)methanol gave the corresponding oxetane with high stereoselectivity.

Sensitization to propolis, shellac and gallate mix is FFA‐associated, but its relevance is largely unknown. Sensitization to salicylates is frequent and associated with symptoms of intolerance to sun exposure or sunscreens. No significant improvement by allergen avoidance is identified.
