This work identifies a potent, non‐membrane active, and non‐toxic AMP termed GN1, which substantially resensitizes MRSA to multiple β‐lactam antibiotics at low concentrations. GN1 functions by suppressing MRSA‐associated resistance determinants, including penicillin‐binding protein 2a (PBP2a) and β‐lactamase.

Translocation of effector proteins is a key virulence trait of many pathogenic bacteria. Various strategies were developed to visualize the translocation of effector proteins, and this review summarizes experimental approaches for analyses of translocation towards localization, kinetics, and dynamics on single molecule level.

A Novel Screening System to Characterize and Engineer Quorum Quenching Lactonases
A new medium‐throughput screening system for identifying and characterizing N‐acyl L‐homoserine lactonases (AHLs), which hydrolyze bacterial communication signals and interfere With quorum sensing, was developed using N‐acyl L‐homocysteine thiolactones as chromogenic analogues.

ABSTRACT Managing extremely preterm neonates with very low birth weight is challenging, especially in Ghana where viability is set at 28 weeks. This case highlights the complexities of neonatal care in low‐resource settings and emphasizes the need for improvement in health systems to revise the age of viability.
