Basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) proteins are transcription factors (TFs) that have been shown to regulate anthocyanin biosynthesis in many plant species. However, the bHLH gene family in walnut (Juglans regia L.) has not yet been reported.

XASH-3, a novel Xenopus achaete-scute homolog, provides an early marker of planar neural induction and position along the mediolateral axis of the neural plate [PDF]
We have isolated a novel Xenopus homolog of the Drosophila achaete-scute genes, called XASH-3. XASH-3 expression is neural specific and is detected as early as stage 11 1/2, making it one of the earliest markers of neural induction so far described ...

The T-cell oncogene Tal2 is a Target of PU.1 and upregulated during osteoclastogenesis [PDF]
Transcription factors play a crucial role in regulating differentiation processes during human life and are important in disease. The basic helix-loop-helix transcription factors Tal1 and Lyl1 play a major role in the regulation of gene expression in the

T Cell Exhaustion in Cancer Immunotherapy: Heterogeneity, Mechanisms, and Therapeutic Opportunities
T cell exhaustion limits immunotherapy efficacy. This article delineates its progression from stem‐like to terminally exhausted states, governed by persistent antigen, transcription factors, epigenetics, and metabolism. It maps the exhaustion landscape in the TME and proposes integrated reversal strategies, providing a translational roadmap to overcome

A genome-wide survey on basic helix-loop-helix transcription factors in giant panda.
The giant panda (Ailuropoda melanoleuca) is a critically endangered mammalian species. Studies on functions of regulatory proteins involved in developmental processes would facilitate understanding of specific behavior in giant panda.

An activity‐dependent pathway links prefrontal circuit hypoactivity to cognitive impairment. Reduced PVA–mPFC activity upregulates NEPAS, which suppresses PTX3 secretion, leading to impaired angiogenesis, myelin deficits, and memory decline. Rescue is achieved by NEPAS knockdown or chemogenetic circuit activation.
