Control for an Autonomous Bicycle [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
The control of nonholonomic and underactuated systems with symmetry is illustrated by the problem of controlling a bicycle. We derive a controller which, using steering and rear-wheel torque, causes a model of a riderless bicycle to recover its balance ...

Tire tracks and integrable curve evolution

open access: yes, 2018
We study a simple model of bicycle motion: a segment of fixed length in multi-dimensional Euclidean space, moving so that the velocity of the rear end is always aligned with the segment.

NIR Ratiometric Fluorescent Antibody‐Drug Conjugate for Metastatic Ovarian Cancer Theranostics and Treatment Response Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In vivo optical imaging enhances antibody‐drug conjugate (ADC) optimization by enabling real‐time monitoring of stimulus‐responsive drug behavior. We report n501‐CYMMAF, a ratiometric theranostic with strong target affinity and low‐dose efficacy for ovarian metastasis.

PD Controller for Bicycle Model Balancing [PDF]

open access: yesRobotica & Management, 2018
Bicycle is a conventional vehicle and it cannot self-balance. An equivalent model is required to be supplied in order to base a control structure for this under-actuated system.

Early Radial Extracorporeal Shockwave Stimulation on Proximal Tibial Circular Osteotomy Site Enhanced Heterotopic Skin Wound Healing via Small Extracellular Vesicles

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A schematic diagram of the mechanism where small extracellular vesicles mediate the enhancement of heterotopic wound healing by radial extracorporeal shockwave stimulation at a proximal tibial osteotomy site. ABSTRACT Wound healing represents a complex biological process necessitating innovative therapeutic approaches, particularly for chronic wounds ...

Application of Neural Networks to Analyse the Spatial Distribution of Bicycle Traffic Before, During and After the Closure of the Mill Road Bridge in Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom

open access: yesSensors
Traffic congestions due to construction and maintenance works of road infrastructure cause travel delays, unpredictability and less tolerant road users. Bicyclists are more flexible with road closures, shifting to alternative routes, public transport and

Posture keeing property of the bicycle with twin gimbal mechanism using gyroscopic moment effect

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2017
Gyro actuator is often used for the posture control of systems which cannot be supported on a fixed ground. The gyroscopic moment makes preccesion movement of the gimbal mechanism and its effect depends on the rotating speed of the wheel.

Visualizing and Quantifying Impact with Mechanochromic Sensing Paints Based on Self‐Assembled Polydiacetylene‐Silk Core‐Shell Vesicles

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tracking physical impacts is important in many fields. Self‐assembled microparticles made from polydiacetylene and silk fibroin that change color from blue to red when hit can provide an alternative approach to traditional mechanical transducers, quantitatively visualizing impact with responses ranging from <100 to 770 N.
