The Biodistribution of Radiocopper-Labeled Compounds
1989Porphyrins form extremely stable chelates with Cu2+. Two copper radionuclides, 67Cu and 64Cu, have attractive nuclear decay properties for use in nuclear medicine applications. We have investigated the use of radiocopper-labeled porphyrins for localization in inflamed tissue and for attachment to antibodies for tumor imaging and therapy.

Bioavailability and biodistribution of nanodelivered lutein
Food Chemistry, 2016The aim of the study was to evaluate the ability of poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) nanoparticles (NP) to enhance lutein bioavailability. The bioavailability of free lutein and PLGA-NP lutein in rats was assessed by determining plasma pharmacokinetics and deposition in selected tissues. Lutein uptake and secretion was also assessed in Caco-2 cells.

Radiolabeling and biodistribution of amiodarone and desethylamiodarone
Nuclear Medicine and Biology, 1995The antiarrhythmic drug amiodarone and its metabolite desethylamiodarone, were radiolabeled with sodium [123I]-iodide in > 98% yield using the exchange labeling method. Biodistribution studies with 123I-amiodarone in mice showed high liver and lung uptake.
